I think I’m beginning to see the direction of spin on this. The “not liberal” House leadership worked with the insurance lobby (which are for-profit companies and therefore, right-wing) to screw over the “worker” and the “little guy”. In other words, this is really all the fault of the greedy, profit seeking Right!
Of course, this sounds like the most amazing piece of distorted pretzel logic to most of the members here but to a TRUE Prog, it makes perfect sense. Pelosi is considered a squishy moderate in her own district and all for-profit private sector corporations are automatically bastions of far-right Fascist corpocracy, no matter how left-leaning the senior staff and primary shareholders are.

Liberals remind me of children. They argue just to argue. It doesn’t matter who’s right or who’s wrong. Reminds me of that saying, “I never realized how smart my parents were until I became one myself.” Becoming responsible for yourself tends to do that to you.

I noticed a lot of them talking about insurance companies getting rich off this despite being forced to pick up the tab for other’s pre-existing conditions.
But nobody proposed the same concept that they will get rich themselves having to simply pay for their own insurance.
