Evil President Bush Being All Secret-y Again

Home - by - November 7, 2009 - 15:05 America/New_York - 22 Comments

George W. Bush Secretly Visits Fort Hood Victims

The Bushes entered and departed the sprawling military facility in secret, having told the base commander they did not want press coverage of their visit, a source told Fox News.  Former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura secretly visited Fort Hood last night and spent “considerable time” consoling those who were wounded in Thursday’s shooting spree, Fox News has learned.

Huh. No photo ops? It’s funny how the evil and nefarious President George W. Bush cares more for other people than he does himself.  Unlike the current excuse for a President, Bush is concerned with what he can do for others and not what they can do for his image.

Know what Obama did today? Fireandreamitchell.com lays it out for us.

11:25AM THE PRESIDENT addresses the House Democratic Caucus – Cannon House Office Building

2:30PM THE PRESIDENT makes a statement to the press on Health Care – Rose Garden

2:45PM THE PRESIDENT and THE FIRST LADY depart The White House en route Camp David – South Lawn

Wonder if he’ll manage to squeeze in a nice round of golf?  Obama is once again concerned with himself first and foremost while George Bush lends his caring, support and help to the victims at Fort Hood, privately and without fanfare.  He specifically asked for NO press coverage.

Character. I miss it.

He was a squishy liberal, but he certainly had character.

How dare he upstage our commander in cheese by going to Fort Hood…Did he call it first, like riding shotgun?

Well, say what you want about Obama but at least he was not so callously opportunistic as to politicize the shootings in this “Health Care Debate”

I hope Pres. Bush does more of this. There is an obvious vacuum of leadership on a whole range of issues from this bunch in the WH. Bush stepped into a gap that shouldn’t have existed when Obama didn’t bother to show any real compassion or empathy with regard to the massacre. Bush did what Presidents have always done, until this narcissistic bozo took office. My hope is that Bush will pull a “Nixon” and use his post-presidential years travelling the world and this country, talking up national security, filling in the gaps created because of Obonehead’s preoccupation with stripping Americans of choice and freedom.

Although I disagreed with most of the fiscal policies of Pres. Bush, he is a class act when it comes to the treatment of the troops. It makes my stomach turn to see the way Odumbass would rather cheerlead a freakin’ bill that will strip us of liberty, than make a decision on Afghanistan or visit the wounded. What a @#$$%^$%$#.

Bush he spent money like a drunken sailor. Obama, he spends money like a drunken navy! Clearly, these politicians on both sides, just love spending OUR MONEY! I believe in a flat tax for one reason, then EVERYBODY HAS TO PAY IT!

Alpha, agreed. I suspect it’s too much to expect that Republican candidates next year and in 2012 will kick over the conventional applecart and go for a radically different set of policies, like a flat tax. I have *hope* however.

One thing about Bush, he couldn’t hide emotion on his face. You knew he cared. Obama expresses about as much emotion as a dead fish.

Mr. Bush also visited with families of the 9/11 victims not long afterward, but it was also done without the press present. Nobody knew about it for a long time. Although I didn’t always agree with his policies, I have always had tremendous respect for him. I had the pleasure of voting for him 4 times, twice for governor and twice for President. I don’t know of anything Chairman Zero could (or would) do that would earn my respect. He hasn’t even come close.

Have you guys heard about the Seattle police officer that was killed this week? Ace of Spades blog has an interesting summary of it:

    http://minx.cc/?post=294497

Local news calls the shooter a ” lone domestic terrorist”
    http://www.komonews.com/news/local/69476452.html

So, if Seattle can be so bold to say that then let’s make the leap that what happened in Ft.Hood was also an act of domestic terrorism.

And yes. I miss President Bush. He wasn’t 100% all the time but I’ll take 75% 50% 25% than 0/O.

History will be much kinder to GW. He had faults, spending, not controlling the border, etc., but his worst fault was allowing the Dems/MSM to slam him the vicious (and untrue) way they did. During the onslaught of lies and accusations that began with the 2000 election (Bush cheated, he was selected rather than elected) AND continues to THIS DAY, he stayed silent. He stayed ‘classy’. But people rightfully assume silence is a form of admission. The BDS got out of control because Bush ignored it, rather than stating the facts.

That said, the military love him. He has always been kind, caring and did not politicize them. He thanked them and recognized them at every turn. Bush truly loves and RESPECTS the military, unlike the POTUS we have now.

The only thing that would earn Obama even a modicum of respect from me, would be if he resigned.

If Bush filled the vacuum of Obamas’ foreign relations he would win a third term.

Hell, if Helen Thomas dumped a missive shit down Obamas’ throat SHE’D win a term.

I think George Bush today takes pride in the office he held as POTUS because he realizes the difficulty that comes with such a position due to loyalty to the country and its flag. I believe he realized that on September 11th. He still takes his former position seriously.

obama has yet to realize the propensity of his office because he is not capable of any sincerity to anyone other than himself and those that support his political ambitions. Those who support him now have no dedication to the Constitution of the United States.
