I worked three jobs while raising one kid. ONLY 1 kid because I could not afford more. I never asked anyone to help me feed my kid. The attitude MUST change.

Six kids, $1,000 a mo….Really? I buy groceries every week and we eat pretty well on about $100. That is for two of us, grown adults. I say she can’t spend $1,000 a month on groceries and some not accumulate. Dollars to donuts, she took those kids out in the heat and let them go without for 6 hours for the opportunity to revel in this one day glitch.

These people are parasites. Throughout their entire lives they have been conditioned to “take”; they believe they are entitled to the “hand out”.

They have no concept of self-reliance, self-responsibility, and self-determination.

I don’t have even an ounce of sympathy for them.

Watching that video and reading the comments really has me angry.

I have always made sure that I have extra things around the house (food, soap ect). I can not imagine having NOTHING to eat when payday came around. Do these people have no sense and no idea to plan ahead and be prepared. No, because the government will take care of them (or so they think/demand).
When this teat runs dry — it will not be pretty and I am glad that I am not near to the big cities – although this attitude has spread to the rural areas too.

My wife is an agent for the state of Georgia’s Child Support Enforcement Division, and the stories I could tell would set you on fire [One Man. TWENTY-THREE CHILDREN. FIVE BABY-MAMAS!!! All on welfare, Section 8 housing, public school{+bus & meals} and out of all 29 people, NOBODY PAYS TAXES!!!]

And the worst part, local sheriffs don’t pursue bench warrants because of lack of manpower and the state won’t hire field officers to serve and or arrest offenders. So my wife has to keep pursuing the same people every few months.

And on the rare occasion someone shows up on a warrant, no matter how long they’ve been unemployed, they seem to have access to THOUSANDS of dollars! Gee, wonder where they got that?

I do know the terror of not wanting to get pregnant! I have been fearing it since I was 15. It’s not that I don’t want a baby its that I CANNOT AFFORD ONE. So since I was 15 I used the public school system to educate myself on all the different forms of birth control including ABSTINENCE, the methods, and accuracy levels and side effects and all. At the age of 15 I was able to start myself on birth control and I have maintained a pregnancy free life for 15 years now. Please explain to my why I cannot expect the same out of every other teenage girl. It is each girls responsibility to control their own bodies after all.

If I do become pregnant, no matter how much I cannot afford it, I would not abort it, I would find a way, and that way would not be government handouts. If I could not find a way I would give the child up for adoption. There are always couples who cannot conceive waiting for a baby they can call their own.

Ever been in the grocery line behind a food-stamp case? When I was in New Orleans doing grad school, I often found myself in that position. It went something like this: Foodstamper trundles up to the checkout with a cart packed to the brim with steak, vodka, and assorted sundries (all flagship brands, no store brands). The clerk rings everything up and comes up with a total… usually over $200. Foodstamper shows clerk a book of food stamps and says “is this enough?”. Clerk points out that this is only $80 of food stamps, won’t cover it. Foodstamper looks into cart, bypasses the steaks and vodka, pulls out a cup of cottage cheese and says “take this one off. Now is it enough?”

By the time they leave the store with a cart full of nothing but steaks and vodka, you’ve been in line for 15+ minutes. The better grocery stores will sympathize and open a second register for you.

You don’t want to pay for abortions for others? Fine. (But the cost of an abortion is peanuts compared to the cost of supporting the fetus for the rest of its life on your tax dollars, but…)

Why is it so hard for you to comprehend that thru no fault of his/her own that unborn child has the right to live? There will come a day when roe vs wade will be overturned and as fetal science advances, as it has, will prove beyond a reasonable doubt that even at the embryo stage the vulnerable is deserving of the same constitutional rights as anyone alive today.

Legalizing abortion was one of the great downfalls of the feminist movement. It gave a false sense of empowerment to women. On the fiscal side all those millions of humans since roe vs wade that have been killed in the womb would have been productive tax payers supporting the system and paying into SSI to keep it afloat after the baby boomers exhaust it. Roe vs wade was a bad decision across the board for this country.

I’m sitting here on my back deck, sipping some Jack Daniels (poured over ice), smoking a nice Cohiba, reading all these posts. Some interesting and entertaining stuff. It’s gotten a little lively, to say the least.

After I got finished reading them all, I got to thinking. Back in California where I used to live, a man that’s mighty full of himself and thinks his shit don’t stink and thinks he knows everything about anything and thinks he’s right on all subjects is called an “asshole”.

A woman who’s like that is called a “bitch”.

After moving here to Tennessee, I learned that we don’t call them either one. Instead, we just say, “Bless his/her heart!”

So regarding the “Lady in Red” gal, who thinks her shit don’t stink and then some, all I can say is, “Bless her fucking heart!”

That said, I’m going to pour me another round of Jack. It’s a big cigar, a Churchill, and it’s going to last at least three rounds, maybe four. Hell, I might stretch it out to five. During which time I’m going to camp out at IOTW.
