It’s Good To Be Mexican

Home - by - April 11, 2011 - 23:09 America/New_York - 25 Comments

Obama’s been getting heat from environmentalists about the air quality in towns near the Mexican border. After NAFTA Mexican trucks have been rumbling across the border in their shitboxes spewing all sorts of soot into the air. Obama asked the Mexicans to perhaps meet EPA standards with the trucks that are crossing our border. As any other country dealing with Obama would do, they said, “frig yewwwww.”

What was Obama’s response? We are going to retrofit the trucks ourselves with catalytic converters. No, I’m not drunk.

Story here at Doug Ross’s place.

Nope, we can’t find a single way to cut the budget any more than we did…every dime we spend is crucial, 100% necessary!

I like this idea; now the mexican’s trucks can run as shitty as ours. Kind of levels the playing field. Typical left wing screwed up thinking. We are so fucked.

It’s shit like this that makes me understand how Mexican presidents can demand that we keep an open border, provide education to their citizens, not ask them for ID when they break our laws etc, etc, etc and all with a straight face.

And also add tires, brakes, lights, doors, windows etc. The mexs strip everything once they get back into Mexico and send the truck back.Bend over America, here it comes again.

    “…scrap metal yard?”

Have no idea how big these things are for semi truck, but a car converter is worth about $200! They have platinum in them.

This EPA outfit like all of Carters outfits just flat out need to be removed!

That’s funny…it’s going to cost $12,000 to get a Californian’s truck to meet EPA regulations but only $1,600 to fix up a Mexican’s truck, and the gubment is going to pay for the Mexican’s. We know who’s going to own our roads in a year. I live in hell.

For one thing, diesel trucks ARE NOT equipped with catalytic converters, which are for gasoline powered cars and light trucks.

US manufacturers of new heavy trucks w/exhaust gas re-circulation engines, which have steadily declined in mileage and longevity, lost sales when more and more regulation forced up their price. The new motors run hotter, wear out faster and guzzle fuel. Not a good investment.

Mexicans open up the diesel injector pumps on their trucks, which allows them to run like a raped ape, BUT smoke like a locomotive. I know because I had Sergio turn up the puny little Cummins in my IH 9200 so it was probably cranking out more than 300 HP. Those weren’t shetland ponies either – that truck would RUN! And it just smoked a little bit when under a load and got 9 MPG, which is great! I sold it to a Mexican, and he’s probably still tearing up the roads in Sonora.

I heard about this on the radio the other day. The issue was not only with trucks that don’t meet American safety standards, but also with the drivers themselves who were not proficient in English. Now if that’s not a thought to give you chills. And I’m sure that those trucks won’t contain ANY smuggled goods or people, right? Because to even stop and ask them to be searched would be raaaaaaaaaaacist.
