Comedians Oblivious To Obama’s Agenda

Home - by BigFurHat - September 25, 2009 - 16:30 UTC - 22 Comments

Listening to these dimwits constantly say that they “don’t think Obama is all that bad,” or that he’s “not a socialist,” all the while piling on Sarah Palin as if she’s “dangerous” to America, is becoming more than just an annoyance. These morons are actually becoming an American liability. You have a responsibility  to know what the hell you are talking about if you are going to wade into politics knowing that you have an audience full of mouth-breathing followers. If you understand Obama’s global agenda and are happy with redistribution of wealth, and a weak America, fine. But I don’t get the sense that this is the case with these clowns. They seem clueless. It’s hard to believe that a president can be approaching a below 50% approval rating and they will blissfully continue as if Obama is still in the post-election euphoric afterglow. Get with it guys. If more than half the people do not approve of the president maybe it’s safe to do at least ONE Obama joke. Start off slow. Here’s one: After months of research, linguistic experts have finally deciphered the exact meaning of the name Barack Obama – turns out it’s Kenyan for Jimmy Carter.

Your picture is a few squirts shy of a full douchebag. You need John Leibowitz’s , I mean John Stewart’s picture as well as the continual ass and boot licking Obama apologist Bill Maher.

The two you mention are knee deep in politics. They are lost causes (although the Jon Stewart take on ACORN was a stunner. Maybe there’s a little hope for him.)
I think they are fine with where Obama is taking this country.
These other 3 clowns are oblivious and just do the occasional political joke because
left wing = hip, right wing = unhip. I get the sense that if they really knew the score they wouldn’t be so eager to “help” Obama.

But the suggestions are good, only so I can cathartically do their caricatures. I really can’t stand Bill Maher. He’s as intolerant as they get.
( I have a soft spot for Stewart because he’s a Met fan.
    (I’m shallow that way.))

When will they feel that it’s “safe?” When Obama is at 39%? How about then?

The right tried to be stealthy by running a retard, Bush, but that didn’t keep the left from bashing him.

Most nights I am up late enough to see Conan’s monologue. The other night he made fun of Bush and Cheney. I keep waiting WAITING for one legit joke about O. It just never happens. He even treads lightly with Biden but at least he’s done one or 2 Biden jokes. I think BigHollywood tracks these guys and once I read that yes, there was a credible snarky O joke, I might tune back in.

Conan had Shatner reading Palin’s Twitter posts was funny. I didn’t want to laugh but I did. For shame. ;)

Overbite had Micky Moore on the other night. I watched. They both agreed with each other on every-thing. It was wonderful. Does Overbite ever have
a guest who disagrees with Him, even a little? They
both agreed that capitalism is very bad. But they
both agreed that it was good for them. They make
money! I would love to see a down to earth debate
between Orbermann and let’s say Mark Levin, Rush,
Sean, Glenn, or even me. But I would loose it and
probably come up the side of his head with a knuckle sandwich. I think BFH would destroy that
jack of all asses. Mother of all jackasses.

    @illustr8r

But that’s the difference between the right and left.
I laugh at jokes told at the rights expense ALL THE TIME (if they’re funny.) You just admitted to laughing at a Palin bit. I loved Reagan. There are Reagan jokes that exist that are funny.

I can draw a parallel to this phenomenon in these terms.
al queda is EVERYWHERE in the world – but according to the left that ubiquitousness ended at the borders of Iraq.
Everything is funny – but the funny stops when it crosses the border of the left’s plantation.
    One word – narrow.

Hence why I do not watch them…

@BFH… I understand what you are trying to say… but at least he was smart enough to fly a fighter jet… BO could NEVER be able to do that.

My tongue was firmly (Barney Frank – stop listening for a second) planted in my cheek when I called Bush a “retard.”
Al Gore couldn’t fly a rubberband plane.

I totally agree with this posting! I have posted something similar before. I can’t stand it that Conan is still snipping about Palin and now and then Bush! What is WRONG with these people? IT IS SO NOT CURRENT! A person in my family likes to watch Conan’s monologue and I just shudder because dang it, almost everyday he has to mention Palin?!! GOOD GRIEF, THERE IS TONS OF HUMOR UNDER THEIR FREAKIN NOSES WITH OBAMA!! Why don’t they just step out and give it a try? Are they afraid of being labeled Racisit??!! I JUST DONT GET IT AND I’M DAMN SICK OF IT.
    ok, i’m done.

Of course not, you frolicker in heavy downtown traffic! Rubber comes from trees, and cutting trees is bad for the environment.

And far be it for the One to have too large a carbon footprint…

    My favorite joke about Alaska.

A woman is driving in Alaska when her car starts to smoke. She sees a service station and pulls in. The mechanic says he can check it out in about an hour – that maybe she should go across the street and wait at the diner.
An hour later the lady goes back and the mechanic says,
“looks like you blew a seal.”
“Huh? Oh,” she says, wiping her mouth, “no, that’s just a little mayo from my sandwich.”

(for anyone scratching their heads wondering why I threw this in here at this particular time, i_pwn_ is a club owner in Alaska. Yup. And he uses it on baby seals.)

In Letterman’s defense, he stopped being funny in the 1990’s. Leno’s funny, but mostly because of the chin. And how did Conan even get that job? Was Carrot Top too busy working out at the gym?
