Corrupt Circle Jerk
Your union dues are used to fund a political organization you might not support. But set aside the private sector unions, how is it legal for tax payer funded unions to kickback union dues to primarily one party, so that the circle jerk continues forever?

When you break down the numbers it doesn’t look so bad. Only $486,440,870 (95%) to Dems, and a whopping $25,592,200 (5%) to repubs. /sarc off. I think I’m going to be sick. It’s frightening.

Public employee unions should not be allowed to support anyone in any election of their employers. It’s corruption built-in. In fact, any entity which receives any state or federal dollars should be disallowed from making campaign contributions. It’s corrupt on it’s face.

According to opensecrets.org (Center for Responsive Politics) between 1989 and 2010 the Koch brothers donated $2.58 million to political parties, candidates, and PACS.

Good work hi_desertgirl!
Contrast the Koch numbers to these Union kickbacks and George Soros.
Soros gave over a million dollars to Media Matters alone in one fell swoop. (I can still kick Eric Boehlert’s ass, even with David Brock trying to scratch my eyes out. And I mean ideologically, of course.)

Yeah very believable. The state employees SEIU union in NC didn’t spend one dime on ANY of the state legistature canidates this past election except one, and he was a democrat.
They didn’t give money toward the republican (who won), but instead spent money on advertisements smearing the democrat because he wouldn’t play ball with them.
The circle jerk must stop by ridding the state’s of the pivot man (Unions) and any canidate who even considers their concerns.
They will eat their own.

Thanks for that info hi_desertgirl! The more I read about the Koch’s the more I like them. They create tons of US jobs while providing things I use like paper, paper towels, toilet paper, sheet rock, siding, plywood! They own oil refineries and pipelines to deliver gasoline, diesel, natural gas and more safely and efficiently to millions of Americans across the country! They should be heralded as true American Heroes just like the Wright Brothers or Henry Ford! They donate 100′s of millions to charities like medical research, the arts, education, museums and more! Soros produces nothing, he is a hedge fund king.
To quote a former senator from my state, we do indeed have “Two Americas”.

Yup, there’s my tiny old outfit, the 10,000 member Seafarers International Union, (SIU-aka: “Sacco’s Italian Underworld”), the anchor of the top 20.
Meet SIU President Michael Sacco:

President of so many unions that no-one has ever heard of, (and collecting a check from them all, according to the Department of Labor).

Your taxes are used to subsidize corporations that fund political organization you might not support. But set aside the publicly funded oligarchs, how is it legal for tax payer financed subsidies support primarily one party, so that the circle jerk continues forever?
