That’s the crux of it, if you’re a cop – you’re racist, period.
If you even look the wrong way at someone black you need to be relieved of duty and put into counseling.
There is NO POSSIBLE WAY you can’t be a racist.

You know what this scenario is called?

    Profiling.

the only solution is to adopt a hands off policy toward blacks. anything else and it’s racism.

either that or just simply say, you’re right, i’m a racist, now put your hands behind your back.

Exactly! What burned me about the incident and Obama’s initial take on it was that it WAS racist and it WAS profiling….BY GATES!
Does this “post racial” president have ANY friends who AREN’T bitter racists?!?
The makeup of the police officers on the scene (and fact that they stand together) proves that most Americans have moved past race.
Too bad Obama and the Harvard Faculty have not.

I got myself cuffed once when I got a little uncooperative and disorderly after rolling my car when I was 19. It wasn’t until this week that I realize the white redneck Texas local yokels where profiling long haired hippy drunken drivers!

Thank you Obama! I never knew it was about how I looked, not that I was quite tipsy at the time!

    Hahahaha!

It was only a matter of time before Obama stepped in it, I just didn’t think he’d go neck deep.

Does anyone else think Obama’s offer to patch up things with Crowley over a beer is further stereotyping?

I bet Gates asks for a three-year-old Gueuze lambic to be flown in from Brussels for his “beer.”

Outstanding stuff IC…literally “Tip ‘o the Spear” baby…nobody else has the ‘nads to go there, and go there we must…

Food for thought: We saw part of the PBS documentary that Gates narrated earlier this year called “Looking for Lincoln: The Making of an American Icon” because we thought it was going to compliment Peter W. Kunhart’s excellent book of Lincoln photographs that was released earlier this year. In fact, Gates used that book and the photographs from it to accent his comments.

Lo and behold, what it turned out to be was Gates explaining his reinterpretation of how blacks supposedly think of Lincoln now, and it was off beat enough that we turned it off after 15 minutes or so and moved on.

The point is that if you look around, there is plenty of evidence to document Gate’s very public racism, and he is wide open on this as long as Obama continues to make this story continue…

Obama was just distracting the country’s attention from his nationalizing and socializing of medicine. Too many people were asking uncomfortable questions. “Don’t look at the man behind the curtain …”

Professor Henry Louis “Skipy” Gates has more letters and acolades to his name than Oscar Wilde,
Patrick Moynahan,Jimmy Durante, Plato, and Barbara
Walters all together. The man is a genious. Any
American parent should be proud to spend upward 0f
$35,000 a year to send his fair haired boy to
HARVARD and listen to Skipy’s elloquence of diction
for a year or two. Broadens the mind. “Yo Mama”!

If sgt. James Cawley goes to the Plantation to
have a beer with these two overseers, I’ll be very
dissapointed. Drop it. Forget it. Go back to work.
retire. Write a book. Go on TV. Make a fortune Sgt
Cawley. You deserve it. Take a tip from Mark Furman. Become an expert.

Thanks, everyone. Note to PalinMustDIE: do the orderlies in your ward know you’re using the computer unsupervised?

Jeff, no, those are not actual quotes. This is parody – BUT they are based in fact. Gates did make fun of the officer’s mama and Obama did use the planted question as a springboard to a racist rant on the unrelated issue of profiling. And as Tom MO also points out, the Harvard money is as good as thrown out the window for anyone trying to get an education in Gate’s class.
