Donny Deutsch Speaks Out

Home - by BigFurHat - July 7, 2009 - 22:09 UTC - 32 Comments

Probably very few viewers of iOwnTheWorld.com were watching or ever watch MSNBC, but Admin Girl was channel surfing and happened upon MSNBC and they were about to interview Donny Deutsch about Michael Jackson’s fortune now that he’s passed.  The show was The Ed Show which I have never seen and the guy doing the interview maybe was Ed, I don’t even know.  Wow, when what came out of the mouth of Donny Deutsch must have come as a shock and surprise to the interviewer because it had nothing to do with Michael’s fortune!  I don’t know Donny or his politics, but this video is worthy.  I had a hard time finding this video, it is on MSNBC though and it’s on some lefty youtube sites like the one below :(

The interviewer dude is an azz.
Normally Deutsch is too, but I agree with his assessment.
This nearly State Funeral atmosphere wasn’t even reserved for John Lennon, not that ANY singer should get such a reaction, but at least Lennon wasn’t a friggin freak. Lennon was MURDERED. and Michael Jackson pretty much killed himself with wreckless drug abuse. Give me a break.
Michael Jackson, molestation charges aside, was a friggin nutball. If he’s the pied piper, run for the friggin hills.
I hear people are killing themselves now?
Wow, I wasn’t much of a Darwinist before, but I am now.
Can I hand out the cyanide? Please…please?

This country has gone insane, probably because the inmates ARE NOW running the asylum. Everyone was complaining even to FNC about the endless MJ coverage. They ran the numbers, as soon as they stopped covering MJ their ratings dropped IMMEDIATELY. Face it, the media IS in it for the ratings (money) so who really is to blame for the endless coverage? We have a country that cares more about the winner of American Idol than the winner of our presidential election (obviously). Shame.

I am HIGHLY disappointed in the comments made by Donny Deutsch in reference to Michael Jackson. He kept repeating that MJ was just a singer and a dancer but he failed to recognize that MJ sits in the record books as the most charitable pop artist of all time. He has saved lives with his charities and he is a HIGHLY influential person. How many people have Nelson Mandela send in a tribute letter to their memorial service? I have always been a fan of Big Idea (even bought 6 of his books to pass around to all of my family), but today I am going to get those books and take them back to the store because this is not a man that I would like to support. Before he makes comments, he should really think about them fully and understand the impact that MJ has had on a culture. Yes, the coverage has been somewhat of an overkill and it is excellent for ratings but that goes to show you how much of an impact this man has made around the world. How amazing is it to connect with people emotionally all over the globe through your music? We have to give credit where credit is due and the least we can do is honor a man that has been so influential (moreso than world leaders) to a culture. Very unfortunate comments.

How dare that guy compare this to John Lennon! I was only in 8th grade when Lennon was gunned down in cold blood by a “fan” (not by himself), but I don’t remember 24/7 coverage of it for over a week, and I don’t remember having the option to buy a ticket to his funeral, nor do I remember major highways in NYC being closed down. As a matter of fact, I think I was the only Beatle fan in my school, and maybe the only one my age who knew who John Lennon was, so it seemed to me like no one else even cared about his death. This is like comparing the economy in LA to hurricaine Katrina, or fighting global warming to fighting the nazis, apples to oranges.

WHY did they give MJ a “christian” funeral and still invite Louis Farrakhan and his Nation Of Islam goons to participate? The word “Allah” was NOT spoken anywhere that i can google about the funeral service… in fact, the NYT had to do a retraction on what Jermaine actually said:

“…misstated part of a comment that Mr. Jackson’s brother Jermaine offered for Mr. Jackson after speaking with reporters. He said, “May Allah be with you always,” not “May our love be with you always.”

more interestingly, and in spite of the gospel singing and christian clergy eulogizing, if anybody finds any hints of Islamic/Muslim rituals that were at his funeral – plz advise…

i bet the Sultans of Bahrain, who MJ lived with, are really, really pissed off now… betcha Louis F and the NoI are still getting their kickbacks though, just like the Trinity United Church of Christ (Obama’s former church and still the church of Rev Wright) continues to count among their “christian” church full-fledged members of Nation of Islam. some say up to half in attendance at any service there are NoI…

    SHAZAAAM! TAQQIYA!

hmmmm…. u mean one can be BOTH a Muslim AND a Christian? hehehehe

MJ influenced whole generations. Yeah, like grabbing your crotch. That is so cool. Disappointed in Donny. Here is something you can do to keep MJ legacy alive. Wherever you are, the mall, movies, anyplace, continually grasp your crotch and help MJ’s legacy stay alive. Uniting generations in music. That was not music. That was pop sheite. 12-16 year olds swoon, OK, but they’re barely out of infantilism. The nutcase, lunatic fringe have so little going on in their lives that they think that they have a transendental link to MJ. Thats why we have Cornelius as president and Zira as first lady.

How in the world can someone be considered the greatest entertainer in the world and I wouldn’t go see him if a limo picked me up and I sat onstage?
The Jackson 5 has some great hits – but Michael?
His stuff is trendy, quirky crap.
Thriller? That’s a song for a theme park.
Bad? Smarmy, trendy and crap lyrics.
Billie Jean? It was a better song done by David Cook.
Man in The Mirror? Rotten melody.
Black and White? I like that song.
    PYT? Horrendous song, forgettable crapola
Beat it? Soundtrack song for a crap movie. Borders on novelty song.
The way you make me feel? A throw away song. No big friggin deal
Don’t stop til you get enough? Is this the world moving song?
Wanna Be starting something – is this the earth changing song these idiots are yammering about? This song could be anyone of these type of songs. three chord crapola.

WHAT IS THIS LIFE CHANGING MUSIC? WHERE IS IT?
Or are you talking about possibly wearing pointy shouldered red leather jackets and high waters as life changing?
When I hear lives have been changed by Michael Jackson I actually pray that these people would also die of cardiac arrest. They are useless people.

Sure Jim.. A true entertainer engages his audience. He’s not in a glazed over fog, barely aware of where he is.
Dean Martin was an entertainer. Sinatra. Adam Lambert is better than Michael Jackson.
    Freddie Mercury was better.
How is Janet Jackson any less of a GOD rthan Michael?
When she dies will she be revered like Michael. I don’t think so.
The only thing that seperates the two is that Mjackson was a fukkin freak. That’s entertainment, like a carnival sideshow.

Okay, don`t want to come off as some kind of know it all cause I don`t. Ask my wife! Now, this ED character is Ed Shultz–”Progressive” radio talkshow host out of Minnesota. He is a blowhard and just seems elated to have been recently “promoted” to tv land vis a vis msnbc. Dunno if he will last. Does not matter. I live in Tokyo so I get to listen AFN (Armed Forces Network) and they play a wide range of stuff for the service men and women over here. So . . . . Ya get Big Ed for one hour (delayed broadcast due to time difference) six to seven pm. Then ya get good ole NPR (soft spoken Obama propaganda) from
seven to eight. And finally, Rush (thank goodness) from eight to nine. Then you sleep it off and early in the am you get NPR stale air to start the day, if you can stomach NPR. As to not listening\watching the illiberal media, I say, try to endure it from time to time. It is always best to know one`s enemy, is it not? That is why I am registered with hotair AND HuffPest. I admit that most of the illiberal stuff is infuriating and it ends up being an endurance contest as to how long you can stand what they dish out. I am not kidding as many of you probably know. So I have to urge you to put on your gas masks and hazard suits and wade into the illiberal swamp from time to time. It stinks real bad in there, so just get out before the bile starts to rise and you should be okay . . . . Should be . . . .

I will have to agree with “MJ is GOD” on this one. Michael Jackson was a racist. He was so desperate to be anything but a black man he underwent years of bizarre and disfiguring surgeries with odd skin and hair treatments. Sadly not even the years of legal and illegal drug abuse could make him forget that he was born a black man. The enormous sums of money that his music generated from his huge black fan base helped him distance himself even further from his unwanted black heritage. Yes, Michael Jackson died a sad lonely racist.

One would have to look far and wide to find a more worthless POS than Ed Shultz. He is a fat drunken wife beating slob. He also likely committed the most egregious sin known to liberals when he purposefully shot his own hunting dog. He had such great quotes as:

15 minutes into hour one, “Anna Nicole Smith is a dead whore.”
39 minutes into hour one, “I’m fresh out of sympathy [for Anna Nicole Smith].”

I really can’t think of a better person to do MSNBC’s eulogy for a racist like Michael Jackson.

MJiG makes a point, but not the one he intended. Precisely BECAUSE MJ was black, people feel they must memorialize him in maudlin excess. Can anyone think of a white entertainer, even one who is relatively sane, that would garner such fawning adoration?

Themistocles, Hi from Hayama (down near Kamakura). I hadn’t seen your post (a good one!) so I sent an email to admin saying something similar to what you said. Here it is:

Subject: Donny Deutsch vs. Ed Schultz

    Dear iOwnTheWorld.com

I looked up your site after someone forwarded me the email that’s going around, which contains several photoshopped Obama “movie trailers”, apparently from your site (I’m still looking for them), and I came across this:
    [Quote redacted]

Assuming you were not being facetious when wondering about “Ed”, that’s “Big Ed” Schultz, a lefto-Rush wannabe who has had a radio show for a few years and recently has been bragging about getting this MSNBC TV show. I know him because a couple of years ago he suddenly took over Rush’s time-slot on the Armed Forces Network. One day I tuned in expecting to hear Rush and heard this guy who sounded just like Rush but was spouting outrageous leftist tropes. All hail to the “Fairness Doctrine”: It wasn’t enough that the Armed Forces Radio network was already full of NPR, CNN, UPI, Diane Rheams, ABC, “Talk of the Nation”, Rick Dees, ad infinitum and anything but conservative programming. Oh, no, it wasn’t “fair” that they were broadcasting the first hour of Rush every day amidst the sea of leftist blather. They needed someone to provide “balance”….

But I digress. Ed Schultz is the Ariana Huffington of the air waves.

    Regards,
    Rodney
