It’s important to see the entire Juan Williams segment

Home - by - October 21, 2010 - 11:31 America/New_York - 27 Comments

In it’s entire context, getting fired for this is a bit jackbooty.

As Matt Lewis, of Politics Daily, adroitly points out “In 2009, Attorney General Eric Holder said that when it comes to race, the America is “essentially a nation of cowards.”

He was right. Whether it’s discussing race or religion, it seems being a coward is the safest and most prudent decision one can make. Clearly, having an honest discussion is fraught with danger. Williams, after all, was fired by NPR for admitting to an emotion that, let’s be frank, many Americans share.

Ibrahim Cooper is happy that NPR is slowly creeping towards Sharia law. He would’ve been ecstatic if Juan’s tongue had been cut out.

Soros/NPR played this out as a political jab to attempt to de-legitimize FOX, through Juan. He essentially got thrown under the bus solely because of his association with Fox. But this could turn out to be a good thing for us and backfire on them. If Juan doesn’t have the NPR peers and influences in his ear everyday, he may actually come to see just how gullible he’s been. Juan is actually a pretty levelheaded guy most of the time. I actually liked him before obama came to town and his “true colors” came through.

Satan (Soros) meant this for evil, but the Lord will use it for good!

Who IS Juan Williams anyway? And why does he have Hispanic and Angle names? Pick one.

Attorney General Eric Holder said that when it comes to race, the America is “essentially a nation of cowards.”

If, by cowards, he meant “too busy taking doing our work and taking care of our homes and families” to worry about someone else’s entitlement needs to place themselves above everyone else, then yeah, maybe we are cowards.

And Holder’s a moron. Now what?

I want to go on the record today, and issue a correction….

    it should have been this;

“if you live by the scimitar . you die by the scimitar”….!

sorry, I’ll try to get it right the next time…

I differ a little with the “Juan got his just desserts crowd” on this one. Juan Williams is indeed a liberal, but he is a liberal you can argue with reasonably. Juan Williams will conceed points based on facts, and has shown his ability to separate his liberalism and stand on correct principle when it is right.

Case in point after Obama’s State of the Union speech, Juan was the only liberal I witnessed that stood up and publicly took exception with Obama for callin out the SCOTUS and the “Citizens United case”. Juan went on the record and stated he felt Obama had improperly, and innappropriately castigated the honor of the high court with his unpresidential snide comment.

Juan is a liberal no doubt. And I find his positions on most issues to be on the other side of my own. However, his firing was completely over the line. Juan is not a bigott, never stated biggotted or hate filled positions, and did not deserve to be fired for such an innocous statement.

    Grandpa Crkr,

I’m in agreement with you, that Juan is about as “fair minded” you can be, when it comes to the left… however,

he is a political pundit, and makes his living off of our tax dollars… “liberals never have a problem spending other peoples money”….

I don’t want to see anyone fired…. and what he actually said, is what we ALL think, when we are in the same situation… it’s called “irony” or in this case karma…

did he deserve to be fired?… NO, not for this.!

I’ll back him 100 % on this arguement, but there is plenty of liberal baggage, that he travels around with, and so, his usefullness was terminated, not by us, but by the left !

He’ll have a full time paid job with Fox News, before I get home tonight… he’ll be singing like a canary!

Around 20 years ago Jesse Jackson expressed similar sentiments about walking down the street and being followed. He said he always feels a little sense of relief when he turns and finds that whoever is following him is not a group of young Blacks. And I respected Jackson for saying that–for admitting to his own “prejudiced” feelings. Which of those NPR executives doesn’t feel the hair on the back of the neck stand up when they see fellow passengers at the airport dressed in traditional Arab garb? They’d be idiots if they didn’t. Somehow the Left can’t differentiate between the truth that wile not all Muslims are terrorists, terrorists are Muslims. And it’s not bigoted to come to that obvious conclusion. It’s suicide not to.

Huck, I am glad Fox gave him a FT position. :)

NPR’s actions in this case will be the end of their organization. I just visited the fox news site, and the links to NPR. After visiting the NPR site Methinks they are sh!tting in their shorts right now. They have just destroyed their operational funding.

His is but the first head on the Soros lance embedded outside the ProgTard MSM gate. And let that be a lesson to those who are looking to jump that fence.

Juan, I could never stand to hear you for more then 15 seconds, but you were screwed. It is never too late to have a sudden change of heart and roll over on those who treated you so badly. Atone and you shall be forgiven. How about a nice cup of TEA?
