We Read the Constitution
WeReadTheConstitution.com was formed in order to promote the reading of the Constitution in its entirety by as many Americans as possible.
The Tea Party movement has stimulated a widespread interest in our founding documents, principles and ideals. We’re organizing a nationwide series of local events celebrating the United States Constitution on September 18, 2010. Across the United States ordinary citizens will be hosting or attending local gatherings at public places and backyard barbecues where they will read aloud the entire text of the United States Constitution. It is a profoundly moving exercise that will take less than one hour.
Visit their site to find a Constitution-Reading Party near you or sign up to host one yourself.

This is a great idea. I would also recommend that the same people read the Federalist Papers to learn more about what the writers of our Constitution had in mind when they wrote it.
I would hope that our SCOTUS read them as well.

Sounds like a great idea…but. How are you going to get the Libtards to read it? And if they do read it, won’t change anything. There are lots of 16 year olds with drivers licences but have no clue as to what the rules of the road are.

I also highly recommend “The 5000 Year Leap” to anyone who hasn’t read it….. Excellent!

Great idea, but it seems like a “too little too late” kind of action.
The libs don’t care what the constituion says, as long as their selected politicians don’t follow it.
We also need to drum the “rule of law” into the population as well. What good are laws if you don’t follow them?

Tea parties, Constitution parties…the news is bound to get out. Let freedom ring to agitate the Libs common sense part of their brains like the tenor of Reagan’s voice does to hiney.
BTW-Obama is in Seattle today stumping for Patty Murray. Whoopteedoo. I guess this means she’ll lose! Yipee!

Too bad half of America can’t read, will it be read in different languages, oh, and in sign language too?

The brilliance of the Constitution and the Bible/Gospel alike is that both are, in their essences, simple enough for a child to understand, and yet profound enough for scholars to study.
Two more documents for reading aloud: Declaration of Independence (1776) and Gettysburg Address (1863)
