Watching Scotty Grow

Scott Brown has banned any Tea Party affiliates from his Facebook Page. He’s still better than Coakley… .That is all.

http://toastyaroma.com/blog/downloads/rino_big.jpg

It is also becoming very clear that Independent is a great party affiliation for a voter, but whenever you hear a politician say they are an Independent, that’s code for “I can be bribed.”

What can Brown do for me?

From the Examiner

Massachusetts Sen Scott Brown’s announcement that he’s ready to support the financial reform bill is good news for Democrats maybe not so much for Republicans, and possibily a disappointment for his once enthusiastic Tea Party supporters.

Democrats, who need 60 votes to push the bill through the Senate, are still pushing Maine’s moderate GOP Sens Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, and Chuck Grassley of Iowa to cross the aisle and support the bill.

While Democrats got something they wanted –a Republican vote– Brown got what he wanted: Scrapping of a $19 billion tax hike for banks.

Brown’s emergence as a key vote in the financial reform debate suggests that the first-term senator has hit on a winning political formula: “Toe as right-wing a line as you can without alienating the political middle.” This is key to securing votes and, says the New Republic magazine, “if Democrats are going to be successful this November, they’ll have to figure out a way to seize the territory that Brown currently holds.”

The rest here

UPDATE: Just in case no one got my post title: A little levity to break the tension – I present one of the worst top 40 hits of all time.

Scott Brown is no surprise. DC is a drug/disease and Brown is now infected. He wants a Kennedy-like dynasty, so must please Massachusetts and Massachusettes. (Wish my senator, “ass-tronaut” Bill Nelson, felt that way about HIS state.)

That’s RIGHT Animal Crackah, his name was Wahhabi Goldsburqa. You do remember his other hit “Sunni”
    don’t you?

And Sunni I miss you and I’m being blue
And I’d love to be with you
With the dark eyed seventy two

One day while I was at the suq
And he was there with our friend Farouq
    The explosion came
Now all I have is memories of Sunni’s
blast and I wake up and scream his name
Now the Suq’s a blood drenched stage
Where Sunni parked and Sunni slayed
    And Faith blew up
And a small cloud passes over all
And cries down on the market stalls
    That Sunni destroyed

And see the car how far it was blown
But sahiib it hasn’t been too long
    It was in one piece
And I laughed at him and he got mad
The first day when he bought it, it was a B-210

Funny you should say that AC. The wife was asking me if I wanted to go to DC in October. You live near DC by any chance?

I’ve been able to do this song parody thing my whole life. Once we won this huge football game over an opponent named the Knights and I spun a song called “Knights in White Jerseys” after “Nights in White Satin” by the Moody Blues. I even spoofed the portentous “Breathe Deep” voiceover

Just curious AC. Do you ever show my stuff to people at work? And if so, what’s their reaction?

Oh and BTW, “Let Us Be” was very good
