Right Scoop

Jake Tapper really went after White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough over the handling of the VA, asking him why the Obama administration has not held people accountable and why they have ignored letters warning them of what is currently going on.

He even pounded McDonough with this one:

“How many stories like this, how many letters like this, how many dead veterans do you need before somebody asks the question within the White House ‘maybe this guy isn’t the best steward of these veterans’?”

And all he got back was spin and tripe. It was pathetic. But kudos to Tapper for trying.

    “…issues are longstanding, systemic…”

    IOW, Bush.

Don’t worry, they’ll get there soon enough.

The White House Chief of Staff, when asked “how many dead veterans do you need” was probably thinking to himself, as many as we can get. These people are anti-American, evil pieces of shit.

The VA didn’t kill me literally but figuratively. When I got out of the Navy in 1975 and applied for the GI Bill they told me I was dead. To make a long story short some clerk made a mistake and said I was dead. It took me 3-4 months to prove that I was not dead. When it was finally settled I received my first check for $800-$900 which was a lot of money back then and was able to start College. Thank God I was never wounded or injured, although I do have some hearing loss from working around jets and the flight deck of an aircraft carrier but I can work around that. The VA has always for the most part operated in a FUBAR or SNAFU mode! what else is new.
