Senator Scott Brown Delivers Devastating GOP Weekly Address
Associated Press Then ‘Blames’ Senator Brown for Failure to Pass Health Care BillLast month, I defended Scott Brown on his vote for cloture on the ridiculous jobs bill. While I obviously thought that it was a mistake, I wasn’t ready to break out the pitchforks. Scott Brown is a Massachusetts Republican and, at the time, I said “still better partially Red, than Ted.” I said that I’d maintain faith in him and that I’d withhold my judgment until the health care votes, to see if he kept his main campaign promise; the promise that I believe was the reason most Conservatives backed him wholeheartedly.
Today, he validated that faith. He gave the GOP weekly address and he knocked it out of the park, with a scathing and truthful indictment of Obama, the Democrats and their leadership, and the health care bill that they are, with unmitigated hubris, trying to ram down our throats against the will of the American people.
Video and a partial transcript of his awesomely devastating remarks follows below (emphasis mine).
Really, a must-see and read. For reals.

It’s been such a hard couple of weeks; it was so good to see a Senator finally stand up and say what we are all thinking and feeling.
Did my old broad heart good

Lori, while we’re alone. do you have a link for this particular message by Scott Brown? Could you give it out? I try to send these very important messages to people and ask them to google it. They say they can’t, didn’t get it, etc. I have no problem myself but if you can give me a link, I will forever be indepted to you.

Tom, if you click on the “read more” link, there is a link in the article to the FULL transcript.
The youtube link is in there too, if you need the video.
Is that what you mean or do you need something else? I’ll, of course, help if I can.

Scott Brown isn’t my dream. BUT so far he’s doing exactly what he said he would do. So I will sit patient and hope he continues. If he does, He will be a good Senator and I will support him.

Lori thank you. It’s not a problem except some of these guys I deal with outside of IOTW want to be spoon fed. I want them to get on IOTW.

I think the most powerful phrase from our founding that is making a come-back is “consent of the governed.” This is a concept, much like “the will of the people” that has been trampled by our current Congress and this insipid president. The governed do not consent. And it is about damn time somebody caught on to that.

Perhaps he learned his lesson from his previous transgression. Regardless, he has to be better than the bitch who would’ve won. And in winning, he gave Obama and the Dems a major black eye.

You mentioned before, you were having biopsies taken this week. So, you’re having a prostate ultrasound done? It’s not fun; I’ve had three done, so far. But, bear up, and I hope yours turn out negative.
