    Wonderful.

But it reminds me of a question I’ve had since I went to SeaWorld about 25 years ago. Can anyone tell me why female sea lions(or maybe walruses – it’s been a long time)have pubic hair? I don’t get it…

…And what IS that thing with the claws? OMG!

    _______

That’s a star-nosed mole. I know…first time I saw one I ran away screaming like a little girl. Well, I WAS a little girl (6 or 7), but really. Tom boys just don’t do that! – Claudia

    It’s a star nosed mole:

The kissing rabbits are New Zealand Reds (according to my daughter – the 2012 4H Maryland state rabbit judging champion).

I actually did know that, but it’s Silly Sunday up here in CT. Now that I think of it, every day is Silly Sunday in CT.
Thanks, aar, and everybody have a great day. It’s back to reality. I just spent $600 to replace something half the size of my pinky so my car won’t blow up. I’m just trying to laugh it off.

Thank you, Claudia. We can all thank The Great Spirit that star nosed moles aren’t six feet tall.

Your efforts are wonderful and greatly appreciated. Thank you again for a little sparkle in a day where I would gladly blow up my car if I didn’t need it to get to work tomorrow.

Sundays are always better with your pictures, Claudia but they’re even better when a turtle is involved! I have a sea turtle I want to use for an avatar but for some reason I cannot get it to work–thus the eagle (I actually took the picture btw).
    Thanks Claudia!

    Corky,

you need two 3/4 inch dowels, and two sea turtles. If you put them both on top of a dowel, they will have an air swimming race that neither one will ever win.

Please, please, please! Somebody come shoot me…

We were at LA Zoo (Griffith Park) last year. Many of the animals said, “Hello.”

But the Orangutans are a bunch of hams. With an uncanny curiosity, they (even the tiniest babies) came right up to the visitors, mimicked the kids faces and hand gestures. They we’re as genuinely happy to see us as we were to see them.

If you can find the 2-season DVD of Orangutan Island, please watch! It is educational and heartwarming.
