And surprisingly, he roughs up Al Gore pretty good.

LAUER: Would the campaign against carbon dioxide be occurring without the IPCC reports? I doubt it. Congress is very unlikely to support cap and trade without this carbon dioxide threat which is detailed in the IPCC. You know  many scientists have come forward saying this is flawed science, there is research pointing to dire global consequences, but there is also research pointing in the other direction and there were voices of dissent, and those voices were ignored so the President could make his case.

GORE: Look the science is settled worldwide. It’s agreed upon. You can’t ignore hundreds of reports to account for this warming. 

LAUER:  But agreement is not worldwide. Here’s from, from the University of Blenheim, Professor C. Tuttle. He writes in October of 2009, the top meterological scientist,  James “Spider” Marks, in charge of looking into AGW in Norway looked at a list of 946 peer reviewed reports and found quote, “He couldn’t find with confidence there were any cases of definitive proof of AGW in a single report.”

GORE: Well, that’s one guy, but there were many other…

LAUER: But you said it was worldwide. There was disagreement!

Pretty harsh, huh? Well. It didn’t happen. But this did. Can we say in unison, Lauer is an asshat?

LAUER: “Would the Iraq war have occurred without WMD? I doubt it. Congress was very unlikely to have supported the use-of-force resolution without the threat of WMD.” But since the war Karl, you know so many people have come forward saying there was intelligence, there was intelligence pointing that Saddam did have weapons of mass destruction, but there was also intelligence pointing in the other direction and there were voices of dissent, and those voices were ignored so the President could make his case.

ROVE: Look the intelligence was worldwide agreed that he had WMD. That he had ignored 14 resolutions following his surrender after Kuwait to account for his WMD. He had spent 12 years stiffing the international community. We now know because of two international reports by two international weapons inspectors, Kay and Doefler, that he was diverted tens of millions of dollars a year to Oil for, from the Oil for Food program to keep together the necessary dual-use-
