Why did the driver wear a chinese communist flag as a cape? Isn’t Bugatti an Italian company?

At age 19 I did about 140 mph on Pearblossom Hwy. on my way to Vegas. That’s as fast as I’ll ever need to go on the ground.

Bugatti was Italian, but this car is made by VW. It is like the VW skunk works. They don’t sell the car for profit, it is an all out engineering excersize.

Made in France and Germany, plus some parts from a few other places.

Top Gear UK had the car up to 267.856 mph with roof

Awe shit Freeman, is that what the link said? I need to read what I post. I was actually paying more attention to something else at the time.

BUT, yes Hennessey is contesting the Guinness Record and Bugatti isn’t it.

Here’s what I meant to post. It appears there’s some confusion regarding the limiters on these cars.

Here, Guinness stripped Bugatti of the title 4 days ago.

    http://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-news/guinness-world-records-strips-bugatti-veyron-of-top-speed-world-record-ar152289.html

“It has come to the attention of Guinness World Records that there was an oversight in its adjudication of the ‘Fastest production car’ which was set in 2010 by the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport,” said Jaime Strang, PR Director of the Guinness World Records.

“As the car’s speed limiter was deactivated, this modification was against the official guidelines. Consequently, the vehicle’s record set at 431.072 km/h is no longer valid. Following this, Guinness World Records is reviewing this category with expert external consultants to ensure our records fairly reflect achievements in this field.”

How does something with a “speed limiter” even get into a contest for a record? If it BROKE a record with a limiter in place, that’s another story.

The only thing on the road uglier than that Bugatti is a Cadillac BEAST loaded with a queer, ‘RAT president.

I’ll take the Aston Martin DB9 any day. Class over speed.
