Syracuse, NY — A national Muslim organization headquartered in the Southern Tier has filed a libel lawsuit against the author of a book that describes the group as the host of terrorist training camps.

Muslims of America, based in Hancock, Delaware County, sued Martin Mawyer and his Christian Action Network for $3 million in federal court in Syracuse, seeking to halt the continued publication of his book, “Twilight in America: the Untold Story of Islamic Training Camps in America.” [Amazon]

The book takes aim at Muslims of America with false claims that have put the group’s members in fear of violent attacks from Mawyer’s followers, the lawsuit said. The co-author of the book, Patti Pierucci, is also named as a defendant.

The Christian Action Network isn’t the only organization that has been critical of Muslims of America. The Anti-Defamation League has called the group “a virulently anti-Semitic, Islamic extremist group with ties to Al-Fuqra, a terrorist organization that has carried out firebombings and murders in the United States.”

Muslims of America owns 60 acres in Hancock that the group bought “for the purpose of providing safe houses for American Muslims to raise families while establishing a peaceful community free from harmful elements such as those occurring in the inner cities in the 1980s,” the lawsuit said.

Perfect – let’s air out the facts! When is the court date? Will the lamestream media televise it?

So let them sue. If the book is factual, it will be proven so in court. And as LC Dan said, the light of truth is good for all to see.

If the muzzies win this, use it as precedent to file every last possible lawsuit against every single jerk that has defamed Christianity in any way, shape or form.

I know something about this place – it’s pretty close to where I live. They do their best to try and keep it very under the radar. You cannot get near that place, no non-member is allowed to step onto the property.

I used to work with a muslim man who was apparently highly placed at this camp. He used to do nothing but bitch about “discrimination” against him – this was about a year after 911. NO ONE at our work place treated him in that way. Everyone went out of their way to be very PC in fact, so I always wondered why he complained. I told him a few times that I thought he was mistaken because I had never heard an unkind word spoken about him. He would groan and roll his eyes. I recall that he was always in dirty ‘robes’ or whatever you call that nightshirt-like item. One day he just wasn’t there and no one seemed to know why he had left. No gossip – nothing, which for that office was quite unusual.

One weird thing that I did notice was that prior to 911 there were NO ‘obviously’ muslim people in our area (Southern Tier NY), and within a month they began to trickle into every area. They have even begun to run for public office, but so far have not been very successful.

Once upon a time in America a judge would have summarily thrown such a suit out and said to the complainers something like “write your own damn book telling your side of the story and let the rational & intelligent readers come to their own decisions based on the facts presented”.

Now I fear that if they did write a book it would be adopted as a high school and college text, with discussion not allowed of any dissenting opinion.

At the present level of corruption in our judiciary, the “rule of law” is a complete crapshoot.

The Nazis had also delegitimized the concept of individual responsibility and called on their judiciary to rule in terms of “racial justice.”

Why would the ragheads take a chance on open discovery? They wouldn’t. The Christians have already lost.

I agree with everything you said, except for your last sentence. The Christians have already won because God has already won.

Just because it’s often hard to see the end point where that will be a physical and eternal reality, doesn’t mean that it isn’t true.

I have all the camps on a map along with the metadata that goes with them, and about 2,000 mosques in the U.S.
We have a right to keep tabs on those whose evil beliefs instruct them to kill us.

This book is just useless.. It smells deeply pure racism. Does not mean anything. Just full of hatred. May be just reflecting gook at the heart of the writer. Shame on writer and publisher…

    Gook we much?
