The Biggest Mistake the Onion Made Last Night Wasn’t Their Bad Joke on Twitter
The Onion was live tweeting the Oscars, and one of the comedians made a tweet that was obviously meant to be intentionally outrageously-stupid.
Everyone else seems afraid to say it, but that Quvenzhané Wallis is kind of a cunt, right? #Oscars2013
The funny, if it is there, is the absurdity of calling this sweet, innocent kid, who most people never heard of, the most vile of feminine pejoratives.
The ever-stupid Twitter mobs began attacking, so The Onion deleted it. Big mistake. Now the Onion has a new boss – the hypersensitive, less-than-smart Twitterverse.
