I’m in the middle of viewing the complete eight seasons of Barney Miller on disc. After Abe left, around season three I think, a lot of the flavor left that show. Sgt. Deitrick is a flop but in all fairness who could ever replace Fish?
The set includes a season of “Fish”, Abe’s spinoff. I haven’t gotten to that yet nor do I know if Florence Stanley is in it. Hope so. What a pair they made.

You know I can barely remember watching Barney Miller as a kid. I must’ve been really young when it was so hot. Because even when I was younger I could remember that I liked it alot, and I can remember what the inside of the precinct looked like, but I couldn’t remember a single episode or scene remotely clearly.
