It would sure be good for pissing off liberals. Not sure I like the color though.

color is meaningless. This is the screen. The color can be anything.

Guns before country.

Oh for the love of God please leave Him out of this.
He is not allowed in schools or government buildings for now. He is sort of undercover, and in hiding in America waiting for someone with God-given balls to USE them and fight the atheists. It will take a lifetime, but He is patient. Don’t use His name in vain on some silly gun ad. Just sayin.’

My God

My Gun
Any questions?
AbigailAdams
February 19th, 2013
I have a button that reads: “Pro-Life, Pro-Gun, Christian. Any Questions?”
Sometimes I do get questions.
Something doesn’t work for me w/this design. It seems to say that guns and God go together, but Christianity is the religion of peace and we are called to settle things peacefully. I don’t know — it’s just a little too bold for my tastes.

Don’t like it at all. We’re talking the Constitution here [our country] and our right to defend ourselves [guns, 2nd Amendment].
Let’s keep it secular and based on courts [not God].
Falls right into the liberal trap of Conservatives being too religious. We have the law on our side.
Keep it real – not a biblical message.

I’m kinda like Moe Tom. I wouldn’t put a gun on it with the word God. I really like the idea but I would be more inclined to have My God, My Country and My Rights, with the appropriate pictures. Just my two cents.
BigFurHat

2nd Amendment is an inalienable right.
Look up what inalienable means.
BigFurHat
February 19th, 2013
The USA has a contract with its citizens that they have the inalienable right to defend themselves with guns. An inalienable right is one that is not bestowed by man, but his creator.
Anyone saying that this image is incorrect or offensive, is frankly, wrong.
And “a gun ad?”
Really?
That is ignorant. That sounds like something S.E. Cupp would say.

Uh huh.
What else should be soft-soaped so that it’s more palatable?
And who are we soft-soaping the message for? GOD?
Well, then, if God doesn’t approve of guns let’s all vote for Andrew Cuomo.
He must be right.

BFH, I too wouldn’t mind a little more toned down graphic. NOT the message, I just don’t like large printed logos/designs.
Some of these messages would be great if people had to stop and think about what they see when they encounter you and not in an across the street kind of way. In this example, maybe just pencil trimmed images like a cross + outline of US + gun (or even better just a 30 round magazine). I saw a shirt once and it had the typical fly tying sportsman pattern to it, but if you looked close it had some other off the wall theme going on. Something like that and I think folks might be on these shirts more. Think the molon labe stitched polo shirt over a 14″x10″ graphic, I can’t go to a rally everyday.

To be “picky” BFH, you need to learn the difference between the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution’s 2nd Amendment.
The 2nd Amendment does not mention an “inalienable” [sic] right – The Declaration of Independence mentions the UNalienable rights of “life, liberty and pursuit of happiness”.
Inalienable and Unalienable mean the same thing – but if you are going to quote the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence – read them more closely – sometimes it makes a huge difference.
The 2nd Amendment has been picked apart for 200 years because most people don’t take the time.
In the end, you are right BFH. Just saying take your time – some of those clauses get tricky – like the one about “anchor babies” ["natural born", etc.].
Salute!

Ever since that American Freak wrote “How to win friends and influence people,” we’ve lost our individuality to a huge, amorphous blob of gutlessness. Jesus said in the end “All men will hate you because of Me.” Well, then you have to make a choice. Just my 2 cents. Jesus also said, “Take the sword with you, Peter!”

Who says God dosen’t approve of guns? God gave us free will. I’m sure God dosen’t approve of Cuomo’s stance on abortion or guns. But let’s fight the devil ourselves, and with God’s help we will win. But His Name dosen’t have to appear on a fucking tee shirt, like Che Gavara.

“These Things Are Hated By Tyrants”

And I kind of side with Moe Tom about using the name of God, you have to be careful with that. That’s a commandment, not an option.

You know, when you put it that way — unalienable rights and how that points straight to God — it makes total sense, Fur. You’re right. I wasn’t trying to soft soap anything, it just would probably not be a tee shirt I would wear (because I don’t usually wear “cause” tee shirts of any kind, anyway). I’d put it on a bumper sticker or a window placard, though.

…I like the tee. I like the colors you’ve used and the “1-A 2-A” Nice touch.

Well, I like it. I have been wearing “cause” t-shirts almost daily since Dear Leader got elected. It’s great for recruiting!
Also, it’s simple. Some shirts are too “busy” to read.
I also like the print on the front. I’m a well-endowed female, might as well give ‘em something to read while they’re looking anyway!!
Maybe they’ll learn something too.

I think with the American message you might want an American weapon (like everyone else says, 1911 would be good). I won’t buy it though… it’s not wise to advertise what might or might not be in your waistband.

Okay you hot-shots, describe the 3rd Amendment.

February 20th, 2013
@Corona 3rd – can’t quarter soldiers during peace time (I think)
4th – rights of search and seizure
5th – either prosecution or speedy trial (can’t remember)
I like the shirt but with smaller images.

Does the cross symbolize God? For Christians it may, but I think another icon might be more suitable.
The cross stands for Jesus Christ to me.
For that matter, perhaps the words are redundant? Why not just the pictures?
And I don’t get the 1A-2A. 1st & 2nd amendments maybe??

Great graphic! I love the simplicity of it.
But I also like Moe Tom’s suggestion, “God, Country, and Freedom.”
I think the word “Freedom” under the gun would be more powerful and connect on a more visceral level.
Just my 2¢.

Leave the 1a 2a.
Make ‘em think a little. If they don’t ask and are wondering what it meant they’ll be turning it over in their minds for a while. I see that as a good thing.
Spelling it out would clutter it up too.

I like it. And the colors there just the way they are. I thought maybe Lawrence Welk had something to do with the 1a and a 2a? No?
