Teen to Have Baby After Suing Parents to Stop Abortion

A 16-year-old Texas girl won a court victory Monday following a settlement with her parents that will allow her to carry her unborn child to term, rather than have an abortion as her parents had wished.
According to CNN, the minor, identified in Harris County Family Court documents only as R.E.K., sued her parents to stop them from forcing her to terminate her pregnancy, which is currently at 10 weeks. The teen’s parents are divorced and the she currently lives with her mother.
As part of the settlement filed Monday, the parents agreed as well not to use “physical or psychological coercion” toward the girl in an effort to force her to have an abortion. They also agreed to allow her to marry Evan Madison, the child’s father, who is also 16. Madison was not named in court documents, but has done media interviews in conjunction with the case.

I went to another news article on this and read the comments there. Everything from Pro-abortion to “new welfare recipient” covered many of the comments who obviously favored abortion. How many millions of poor parents had their children no matter what? What a me, me, me world it is. Because, like my parents who didn’t have much, someone who hasn’t got a job right now or a home or even a car shouldn’t have children until they are financially, emotionally, and whatever other bullshit excuse, ready? I got personal stories a mile long on how young parents didn’t even have a “shoestring” going for them when the little one was in the oven. What a crock of bull attitude people got today. I hope these kids both find work and have three more kids and do it like so many millions before have done–live!
