I believe the Administration may try something like this, but actually enacting and enforcing it is a different matter.

But if the Dhimmies can take the whole congress in the next mid-term election and hold onto the Senate, then the Obamunists will be able to really run roughshod over the remains of the Constitution. Their problem will still be those millions of silly gun owners…

Any violation of the Constitution by ANY administration is TREASON and if the politicians refuse to hang the traitors, then it is incumbent upon ALL Americans to clean out the filth.

The ammo situation may become a mill stone if the GOP starts questioning & reducing budgets…yeah fat chance.
However gun makers are now not selling to confiscate-states and ammo makers may determine that sales to the gov are going to end.
Expect a huge Black Market & forgein imports.

Don’t trust anybody who calls for gun registration in any form. They have to do registration before they can do confiscation.

The government is using Sandy Hook as a tool; not a cause. Why would the government be so concerned about the safety of citizens, when it allows millions of illegal aliens to endanger its citizenry, and even grants illegals the same rights? I think the government is concerned with its own safety, especially since it became unpopular with the people. Internal revolt is a historically common demise of unpopular governments.

No government is perfectly successful in pleasing everyone, but the most successful try to please most people, most of the time. Washington is focused on pleasing special, corporate and minority interests at the expense of the majority.

Claudia, Your slingshot will be called a stealth assasins’ weapon. Registration of every rubber band you have and every rock in the world will need to be done!

If it just saves one window!

There is a loophole with Constitutional rights, even those rights which are specifically defined and guaranteed, and it’s this loophole the government has taken repeated advantage of.

The defect lies in the legal fact that the Constitution is not law. It cannot be applied or even interpreted as law until its meaning has been defined by the Supreme Court. Therefore, “constitutional law” is actual case law from the Court. And, the Court has a long history of perverting the meaning and intent of the Constitution to serve political and special interests.

The 4th Amendment says “search warrant” but the government says “no warrant (Patriot Act).” Guess which side the Court takes?

It’s useless to claim the 2nd Amendment either. If the Court upholds a government claim that the 2nd Amendment is really about the uninfringed right to grow tomatoes, then guess what the law is… until the government decides to change it again.

Considering the rights pre-date the restrictions on our Govt from infringing on them – it could get interesting.

Short version: No matter what any court says, the people still have a say.

No rights are given in that document. No rights can be taken away by destroying it or interpreting it differently.

It would just get interesting if they did try that. We seem to be closer to finding out than any time I can remember.
