Attention Shoppers
UPDATE: I need to hear from the users. Is anyone getting frozen by the spellcheck feature? I might have to search for another plug-in. I really don’t want a spellcheck feature, I just want editing capability for commenters. Stay tuned.
Update 2 – There are compatibility issues with Firefox. Gonna look for another plug-in.
You can now edit your comments. You have 5 minutes to catch your mistake or rethink your insult. lol
You also can run spellcheck on your comment before you submit.
You’ve been asking for this for a long time. You’re welcome.

One thing I most certainly did NOT ask for is my computer processor over-heating because of the “Traveling JPEGs” in the “iOTW Illustrations” section. This is the main reason I cannot stay on iOTW long enough to read the posts, let alone comment, most times.
I know, sour grapes. Tell ya what. I’ll use my browser spell checker so I don’t over-tax yours!

I’m on a Macbook and my typical routine is to have
iOTW open with at least 6 or 7 tabs open.
Photoshop is open and I’m working on something, sometimes 500mb files.
I’m also listening to Spotify or watching a movie and I have gmail chat open, or maybe skype.
I never dreamed that the AJAX slide show loaded with 15 20-25k images was putting people’s computers into convulsions.

@BFH, in answer to your question…
I just tried the spell check feature by posting a YouTube link without the period at the end.
I got a small box saying ‘no spelling errors’.
- it said nothing about forgetting the period to prevent embedding
- it froze Firefox. Had to “force quit”.
Thanks for trying.

Thank you for acknowledging the complaint from a decades-long IT Manager and sometime web coder. Plus, one of my sons works with Ajax and we discussed this just last week.
Whatever you have done to CHANGE the “traveling JPEGs” (now just alternately fading in and out) has worked. Thank GOD I don’t have to “get a new computer” because of ONE SITE’S coding problems!!
Thanks again.
