Minneapolis city hall beat: Gun dealer assails Rybakblack_gun_amd_police_id-1024x768

by Eric Roper, Star Tribune

About two weeks after Mayor R.T. Rybak threatened to withhold city business from gun manufacturers critical of the president’s gun control plan, a local dealer had a message for City Hall this week:

“WE DON’T WANT YOUR BUSINESS,” Gary Shade, president of an Apple Valley custom firearms shop, e-mailed Rybak and the Minneapolis City Council on Tuesday.

Shade doesn’t currently do business with Minneapolis cops but wants to make it clear he won’t in the future since “your mayor believes he can bully gun manufacturers with threats of no business.”

“When your police run out of ammunition, or need service parts for their firearms look elsewhere,” Shade wrote.

Shade’s letter said he is joining with Olympic Arms and LaRue Tactical in restricting sales to police departments or cities that support Obama’s “unconstitutional” gun control plan or are “affiliated with the Fraternal Order of Police.”

In an interview, Shade said he sells to other police departments, but only sent the letter to Minneapolis because of Rybak’s strong comments.

I fully believe in the tactic of giving people the full effect of what they ask for to get the point across.

Especially the ones who can’t see they depend on me more than I depend on them. Suffer, bitches.

Dadof3 – Knew that, but they do conduct fundraisers, which would nmake me believe they’d want to stay as far from controversy as possible.

They are gun grabbers, always. They are probably walking around with boners with all this anti-gun talk flying through the air.

They are the type of police that would support a totalitarian Govt and fire on citizens to keep them in line.

Until that changes I don’t care what little good they may actually do.

I wish Remington, Ruger, Springfield, Glock, etc etc would chip in with this same statement for Federal contracts (they won’t though).

    “Dear DHS,

    No more guns for you.”

Disarm the fucking cops who protect these asshats.

In fact, disarm all cops and the military.

Let’s go “all in” on this.

Watch for Smith and Wesson to cave on this one too, like they did in 08 to appease Clinton. Probably going to be plenty of greedy cowards that will do anything for those juicy gov contracts.

Magpul Industries–Colorado’s largest manufacturer of high capacity ammunition magazines has threatened to leave Colorado if they proceed to pass their gun control legislation. They directly employ 200 people and 400 more through subcontractors and expect to contribute 85 million dollars to Colorado this year.
Please do this Magpul if that law passes.

This is the group (so far) that will no longer sell to NY because of their crazy laws:

    •Olympic Arms, Inc
    •La Rue Tactical
    •EFI, LLC – Extreme Firepower
    •York Arms
    •Templar Custom
    •Cheaper Than Dirt

I’ll support any of these mfg’s.

God Bless our Troops. Especially our Snipers. (LaRue Tactical) my bumber sticker.

Good. Make them look in the mirror and see what kind of tyrannical idiots they really are. This should really get the message across even to cement head liberals.
