    Reminds me of a friend from church who takes his son and daughter hunting on separate trips. Not sure whether the daughter got her elk, but son did – and a black bear, too.

    The family that hunts together is the family who eats together.

    I was just told about the latest episode of “Glee” over morning coffee (I’ve never watched the show, nor do I plan to). After walking away, sadly shaking my head on the state of our culture – I visit IOTW and have the pleasure of seeing this photo. Thanks very much Fur. This helps me readjust my perspective to a happier one.

    I take it they do not have “hunter orange” laws in Alaska.
    Is there a picture of them field dressing what they bagged? Nothing brings father and child together like dragging entrails out of a body cavity. I taught my daughter basic anatomy while dressing out waterfowl I had killed. She is now planning to be a vet.
