Trent Franks: ‘Astonishing’ that Obama Never Mentions the Muslim Brotherhood

(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.) claimed “it’s astonishing” that President Obama never makes mention of the Muslim Brotherhood and their control of the Egyptian government.
“He never mentions the Muslim Brotherhood. It’s astonishing. If there’s anything that has been a trend in this administration related to terrorism, it’s their unwillingness to call it for what it is,” Franks told CNSNews.com immediately following Obama’s State of the Union address Tuesday night.
Franks also views the Muslim Brotherhood as a threat not only to the security of Israel but to the entire world.
“And the Muslim Brotherhood has gained control of the reins of government in Egypt. It’s that fundamentally simple,” he said. “And it represents not only a threat to Israel and other nations in the region – it represents a destabilizing factor and force in the whole world.”

Obama’s failure to mention TMB is not the largest outrage. The fact that he continues to aid and arm TMB groups or controlled governments is the larger problem. Congress doesn’t get a pass from me about this. It is their power to control the purse that is being used to fund Obama’s terrorist pals or a failure to use that power to deny arms or funds to TMB.
