Booker’s Deputy Mayor Sentenced After Conspiracy Conviction
Former Newark Deputy Mayor Ronald Salahuddin was sentenced today to one year and a day in federal prison after he was convicted of conspiracy to commit extortion while serving under Newark Mayor Cory Booker.

Florida Dem Engulfed in Scandals
Florida Democratic State Rep. Daphne Campbell and her family are being investigated for several counts of fraud and corruption.
The Miami Herald reports the Campbell family scandals include attempting to change Florida law in order to get out of five traffic tickets, Medicaid fraud, tax fraud, identity fraud, grand theft, voting fraud, wrongful deaths, and mistreatment of seniors.

Nevada Dem Assemblyman Arrested
Nevada Democratic Assemblyman Steven Brooks was arrested Sunday after a report he attacked a family member, according to the Las Vegas Sun.
As officers tried to take him into custody, police said, Brooks fought them. In a news release, Metro said the 40-year-old “at one point attempted to secure one of the officers’ weapons.”
This arrest is not Brooks’ first brush with the law in 2013.

Nope. Wednesday’s my Miller Lite afternoon. Some days are good, some aren’t. Today was great. All the right people in the bar, all the good old country tunes played on the box, barmaid was sassy.
And seven weeks until I retire. It’s that in-between period when I’m getting $2,000 in Social Security AND a full paycheck.
Now I have a DVD of BIG BANG to watch and, D.O.M. that I am, I just drool over Kaley Cuoco. Doubt MJA feels like that. But, to answer your question… Yes I would, full of ice cream…

Actually I was surprised that two of the three originating newspapers actually pointed out they were Democrats early in the story while the first (the one about Ronald Salahuddin) neglected to mention it at all although I could almost forgive that as it was municiple rather then state or federal and from what I’ve read party affiliation rarely makes it into any story at that level.
