Dorner’s Remains Apparently Recovered From Burned Out Cabin Following Deadly Standoff

SEVEN OAKS (CBSLA.com) —  A body believed to be to that of quadruple-murder suspect Christopher Dorner has been recovered from a burned out cabin where he was holed up during a deadly shootout with authorities earlier today.

Dorner, who allegedly shot and killed his fourth victim — a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputy — was barricaded inside a Seven Oaks residence for several hours Tuesday afternoon. He is also accused of shooting a second deputy, who was undergoing surgery after being airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center.

The home, ironically, is located near the Sheriff’s outpost that was set up earlier this week as part of the search for him.

CBS2′s Carter Evans reported that tear gas was fired into the house before the fire broke out. A single shot was also heard at that time, according to CBS2′s Juan Fernandez.

During a news conference earlier in the day, LAPD Cmdr. Andy Smith urged Dorner to surrender.

“Enough is enough. It’s time to turn yourself in. End the bloodshed,” said Smith, who added that Dorner likely had access to television and other media outlets. He requested that media helicopters pull out of the area, and the San Bernardino District Attorney’s Office also asked that reporters in the area to refrain from tweeting during the standoff.

The sheriff has asked all members of the press to stop tweeting immediately. It is hindering officer safety.#Dorner—

Dorner reportedly broke into a home in the 1200 block of Club View Road and tied up two housekeepers — possibly days ago — before stealing their vehicle and fleeing the scene Tuesday afternoon. One of the victims was able to escape and alert authorities, who later recovered a rifle and possibly a can of gas.

“The reporting party said the suspect took their vehicle and described the suspect as looking very similar to Dorner,” a Sheriff’s Public Affairs spokesperson said in a statement.

He was spotted driving a 2008 four-door, white Dodge 4X4 truck, which is registered to nearby Camp Tahquitz, around 1:30 p.m. Dorner and law enforcement officers then exchanged gunfire for several minutes on on Glass Road. Evans, who was reporting nearby, is safe despite loud gunfire that could be heard during his live report.

I don’t think he is finished burning. Not by a long shot. Eternal burning is what I am hoping he is experiencing. FDR in Hell, any sign of him yet?

Many moons ago, I worked in a hospital and learned the classifications the orderlies used for various bodies they were transporting on the (hidden, lower shelf) of the gurneys. They would have referred to Mr. Dorner as a “Krispy Kritter.”

Thank God this diversion is over. I’m just saddened that he didn’t make it to the SOTU festivities… He would have made a great guest for Mooch or even Dear Leader himself… Oh well, another crisis solved.

This reminds me of the Wacko in Waco fiasco.
Just like David Koresh, they found Dorner dead wearing charcoal pants and a smoking jacket.
only difference between them.. in 2 years time.. there probably won’t be an exploding Federal building.

I don’t know, there’s reports of foot tracks outa there through a horse coral. I didn’t know SoCal had horses left down there. He’s probably well done, but I’m kind of enjoying SoCal cops scared shitless. I guess I should feel bad about that.

    It’s not over.
Hannity just said the police just reported that no body has been recovered. In fact the site is still too hot to search.
    The earlier reports were false.
    Figures.

As industrious as that fucker is, I figured he would cut through the floor and tunnel his way out of the burning house. Basement would change that a bit.
Earlier it was an lapd cop who made it official that they had is corpse. They always were a bunch of frckin liars.

Unruly Refugee. A bunch a liars, you betcha. Mark Furman was on Hannity tonight, and I usually like the guy, but he was saying Dorner wasn’t all that, and ya know he only grazed that one cop and didn’t kill him. I’m thinking are you fing kidding me. He’s kicking your collective asses. Think what it’s going to be like when they and take law abiding citizens guns and they get pissed.

Fire is not totally out yet at 9:50 pm PST. They’re letting it burn itself out. They don’t want to take a chance of him somehow surviving this and shooting at fire trucks or water dropping helicopters. They also don’t know how much ammo might be remaining. San Bernardino Sheriff Dept doesn’t anticipate anyone being able to sift through the rubble until at least tomorrow.

Thank goodness the Big Bear area has had rain & snow and that the winds weren’t blowing. Had this happened a couple months ago the entire canyon would have exploded in fire.

Funny how water dropping planes cover fires, yet we want answers and they choose to wait until everything is too crisp to find anything but teeth! Wonder if the truth of this event is being obstructed to the public because of the nature of its victims. After all, they all were affiliated with law enforcement. It is very hard to understand why this individual did not receive the help he so needed. Shame on his superiors for not following through-hopefully they will take this to heart and carry through next time.

I would love if everyone would listen to KFI640 Radio-they actually had the police scanner conversation recordings-or should I say SCREAMING OR YELLING ORDERS TO SEND IN FIRE-which is the second kind of tear gas to send in on Dorner that can cause fire. “Lets burn down that MF and that F house too.” IS this what law enforcement has come down to? Do we as a society really want a bunch of power hungry individuals having this power without consequence to control our environment? What is JUSTICE? They claim they did not start the fire-hmmmmmm. Interesting comment considering their recorded conversations-I want answers-DO YOU? I do not trust anyone anymore-why should anyone. Notice the TV News has not played these recordings-HMMMMMMMMMMMMM-YOU BE THE JUDGE.
