I wished we lived back then. I own a lot of firearms and my favorites for the most part are the older ones.

Oh shit, I’m a duck hunter. I can’t count that high. Last one was Ruger Red Label Over Under in Stainless. Damn I love that gun. Sure could use that third shot sometimes though. Damn ducks.

aleon, I think two of those are old 870′s, but good eye, there’s some redundancy going on there. But I love the intent.

I don’t see an 870 anywhere. You cannot discount the hardware store specials and between slugs and various choked barrels back then, you needed multiple shotguns. I think I see Ithicas and Winchesters primarily.

Also dig the pack of Camels and a Zippo!

Second look, no Ith(a)cas, those are all Winchester pumps, look at the front of the receiver where it meets the barrel.

old_oaks, There’s at least one 870 there, maybe two. No A5 are you kidding me? Still a great poster.

Bad Brad, I don’t see any 870′s they all show the distinguishing features of the Mod. 12. But then I’ve been wrong when I was sure I was right, no wait that can’t be, I am right

Brad look closely (hold ctrl and +) look at where the barrel and magazine meet the receiver.

No Brad, it’s not a wingmaster, don’t look at the forearm.
The more I’ve looked at this picture, especially after unearthing my “Western Super X” cartridges that match those shown… I’m thinking every gun in the picture is a Winchester.
This would also explain WHY there is no 1911.

I’ve got one Brad, only it says Benelli on the side and looks feels like my 870.

Very nice. Wish I could find me a pair of those wonderful ankle-high oxfords. Do you think anyone makes a pair of sturdy working shoes for women anymore?? Try finding a pair!

Abigail, I don’t know if they qualify as sturdy for you but SAS shoes are the only thing I can wear all day walking.

Is that an original Thermos?

I see a Marlin 36, a couple of High Standards, a Peacemaker, and a Woodsman. I can’t tell if the DA revolver at lower left is a S&W or a Ruger. DaA revolver at upper right appears to be a Victory Model Smith, or maybe a Colt. I also see an S&W Schofield.
How does that explain no 1911′s?

I’ve owned six of those guns and the K-bar knife.
Looking at the picture is like sitting in front of a warm fireplace on a cold day with your favorite drink.
