Huff Poo Makes Fun of GWB’s Artwork

Home - by - February 9, 2013 - 12:20 America/New_York - 12 Comments

The cow on the left, the one that says she didn’t see them (the art) because “I had a life today” (too stupid to realize she just insulted her colleagues), says that Bush ruined the country.

BTW, I will be “hacking” Obama’s e-mail today. I’m almost positive there will be some Obama created artwork.

Was this W’s or HW’s art? I don’t know what to think about the fact that the guy who once had presidential powers is so into first person bathroom art.

Just be thankful the twits didn’t take the,”Hitler was a frustrated artist, too” route…although I didn’t listen to the whole thing, so it’s possible they eventually got there.

Those two bitches infuriated me…especially the fat cow on the left who said:

“…of COURSE it’s selfish if you’re…like…the president …like…because that’s the most narcissistic position you could actually do (sic)…”
I wonder if she’d say the same thing about Bambam, who IS a malignant narcissistic.

The guy tried to inject a bit of common sense, but he knew he was outnumbered. He said:
“We should be glad he’s not Instagramming himself in the bathroom.”
Zing. Probably went over their heads.

@BFH, looking forward to the self-portraits!!!

I watched the first 15 sec. of these low information voters. That’s my quota for hup po for the next 10 years. The Bevis and Butthead characters had more common sense than these nitwits.

    He’s not horrendous.
He’s got the feel of a bathroom down pretty nicely, the overall grey values are working for him here. His color is better than his drawing.
It’s not great, no. But he’s not out touring it, is he?
The thing that disturbs me is that for this self-portrait to have been done, he had to have been working from a photograph.
    Yikes.

I can’t decide which is worse. The hacker that violated their privacy and stole their info, or the TV morons who spread it all over the place. They should all get the needle.

@venturaguy, The current president is gay. I’ll take the first person bathroom art over that any day.

Thirdtwin, OF COURSE THEY WENT HITLER!!! I didn’t see this video thing, but this morning when I logged on to check my email, There was a written piece about the reaction to the art from the artworld…
    \
Art experts and critics contacted by The Huffington Post were perplexed by the images.

“It looks like a very naive approach to painting,” said Michael Weiss, associate dean for fine arts at Maryland Institute College of Art, stressing that it was difficult to comment on a digital image of a painting.

Weiss noted the odd perspective from which the shower scene was painted. “It’s much more curious because it puts you in the position of a voyeur from this reflection, but the reflection is not pointed in a direct way.” He added that the reflection doesn’t actually fit with the figure placement.

Jack Fischer, who has an eponymous gallery in San Francisco, compared the interest in the Bush paintings to Adolf Hitler’s work in art school, while making it clear that he was only comparing the two artistically, not historically.

“What immediately comes to mind is Hitler’s paintings and the immediate brouhaha that that caused,” he said. “There’s this peculiar sort of interest in a famous figure having painted.”

One former art critic was more to the point. “There is very little to say about them. They’re very pedestrian and clumsy pictures. It’s one of those things where it’s only that it’s Bush that makes it interesting.”

New York Magazine mega-critic Jerry Saltz wrote a seemingly sarcastic blog post about how much he liked Bush’s work. “I love these two bather paintings,” he wrote. “They are ‘simple’ and ‘awkward,’ but in wonderful, unself-conscious, intense ways. They show someone doing the best he can with almost no natural gifts — except the desire to do this.”

Yes, the United States of America was ruined with a war.

So Bush Derangement Syndrome is STILL in full force and effect. And he’s been out of office and out of the decision making process for 4 years now.

I wonder exactly who IS in the chain of command making decisions?
