Carson Scholars Fund

The Carson Scholars Fund supports two main initiatives: Carson Scholarships and the Ben Carson Reading Project. Our scholarship program awards students who have embraced high levels of academic excellence and community service with $1,000 college scholarships. The Ben Carson Reading Project provides funding to schools to build and maintain Ben Carson Reading Rooms – warm, inviting rooms where children can discover the joy of independent leisure reading.
In 1996, the first year that scholarships were awarded, 25 deserving students were recognized as scholars. Through the generosity of our donors and partners, we are now able to award more than 500 scholarships annually. In total, we have awarded over 5,200 scholarships across the country. Over 1,300 Carson Scholars have been recognized for their academic and humanitarian achievements in multiple years. Our scholars come from all across the country, and our award winners currently represent all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Carson Scholarship winners have attended more than 350 colleges and universities, and have received nearly $2 million in scholarship funds to help finance their education.
The Ben Carson Reading Project has also enjoyed similar success. Through partnerships with individuals, corporations, and foundations, over $850,000 has been invested into creating and maintaining Ben Carson Reading Rooms. Over 85 Reading Rooms have been established in schools across the country.

“Written by a man who has experienced America’s best and worst firsthand, America the Beautiful is at once alarming, convicting and inspiring.”

“An incisive manifesto of the values that shaped America’s past and must shape her future, America the Beautiful calls us all to use our God-given talents to improve our lives, our communities, our nation and our world.

Dude better sell a lot of books as he’s in line for a tax audit. You don’t wake the Pussy in Chief up from his nap without consequences.

I bet he hasn’t even written a single autobiography yet. Or had somebody write one for him, either.

I guess he’s still OK, even with Sam Donaldson on his board as long as Sam’s not choosing the books.

I’ve been an ardent admirer for years, is there anyone in iOTW land, who knows where to find a transcript of his prayer breakfast speech. Every single thing on the Web is video. I’m in dead zone, no video, on dial-up. Hoping someone can help me……… everyone raving about it.

    Thumb up +2

Dr. Carson had the guts to STAND before Obama and talk some sense at the Prayer Breakfast. Of course, the Great Obama, in all his sleepy, insouciant glory, was not amused. – Dr. Carson is a voice of reason in an unreasonable Obama World.

    Thumb up +4

I say : DR. BENJAMIN CARSON, president of the United States.

Wouldn’t he make a most marvelous president, one to be proud of, one you could trust, who would surround himself with upstanding and high moral individuals ………the complete opposite of King Obumfuc.
