General on Benghazi: ‘We Never Received a Request for Support from the State Department’
WS
General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the State Department never requested “support” in Benghazi:
“Why didn’t you put forces in place to be ready to respond?,” Senator John McCain asked the general.
Dempsey started, “Because we never received a request to do so, number one. And number two, we –”
McCain iterrupted, “You never heard of Ambassador Stevens’s repeated warnings?”
“I had, through General Ham,” responded Dempsey, referring to the commander of AFRICOM. “But we never received a request for support from the State Department, which would have allowed us to put forces–”
“So it’s the State Department’s fault?”
“I’m not blaming the State Department,” Dempsey responded.

Now we know… They got that 3am phone call, and just didn’t pick it up.
Unfortunately, the DNC owned press corps simply will not run with this. And half the US public is too stupid to see the significance of this. Facts don’t matter. Blaming the GOP and conservatives for all things that go wrong is what matters to the press corps. Making Obama look infallible is their chosen path. The democrat controlled senate won’t do a damn thing about this. If conservatives in the US want a better country, they’re gonna have to start their own, because the old one is toast.

What about the Admiral and the General who were relieved of duty because they was going to ignore the order to stand down during this event?
Sounds like someone knew of what was going on and assets were indeed at hand for use – BUT they were ordered to stand down!
Who stopped the attempted responses? should be the question asked.
Here is a page that has enough links to get the whole story.

Why the Prezzie isn’t wearing the monicker “The Stand Down Pres.” is a mystery to me.
An admiral and a General were relieved of duty for trying to do the right thing.
Man, these bastards are committed to a very dark agenda.

Dadof3, Thanks for that link. I have been curious about that ever since I caught the tail-end of a talk-radio caller’s comment.

DISGRACE IN BENGHAZI
“Like I said,no novelist would contrast Chris Stevens (dying)on the streets of Benghazi and Barack Obama on stage in Vagas. Too crude, too telling, too devastating.”

So, we’re supposed to believe that the POSOTUS and the SOSS were not in the loop on this? Dempsey and Panetta were flying by the seat of their pants on Benghazi?
I’m no big fan of Sen. Graham, but I did appreciate his comment about the time frame–that the attack could have lasted for days, and Panetta might still go on claiming there was “no time” for any kind of response.
My cats would have had a better response to the attack.
