Today is Ronald Reagan’s Birthday
February 6th Birthdays - Excluding Reagan, Who Do You Care Remotely About?
Reagan shared a birthday with all of these ” other luminaries.”
The birthdays were found at a site where people rank the names for popularity, or name recognition. I am saddened to report that Reagan came in 3rd behind two other people on this list. I want to see how the iOTW community stacks up against this birthday site’s data.
UPDATE:
Ranked in popularity on this celebrity birthday site:
1. Bob Marley 2. Babe Ruth 3. Ronald Reagan 4. Axl Rose 5. Zsa Zsa Gabor 6. Tom Brokaw 7. Rip Torn 8. Mamie Van Doren 9. Fabian 10. Mike Farrell 11. Francois Truffaut
As you can see, iOTW does not comport with the rest of the world out there. That’s a good thing.

The one that shares a birthday with Ronaldus Maximus that I care about the most is not on the list…My Dad. He would be 83 today, but he left for a better place 18 years ago. God Bless you John Francis XXXXXXXX! Tell Ronnie I said ‘Hi!”

It was tough to decide between Bob Marley and Rip Torn.

This is sad.
There is no person on this list that has had a more profound impact on America than Ronald Reagan.
In fact, there has been no person since the Founders that has had a more profound impact on America than Ronald Reagan.

Was torn between Marley and Zsa Zsa with Ruth asking me wtf.
Ruth is historical – it just wouldn’t be the same world if he never was.
Marley is the real deal and if you care to listen, has something to say.
Zsa Zsa? Well, she rocked the house of dumb, blonde, rich socialite-out-of-place-in-the-boondocks-of-rural-America that it was noteworthy that she really WAS a rich socialite out of place in rural America. Life. Art. Art. Life. Got my attention.
I’m going with Zsa Zsa. But only because her Green Acres days are the quintessential example of the role she played. I measure other dumb blondes by her portrayal.
Whatever. None of ‘em are Ronnie so… whatever.

So, do we guess who the two ahead of Ronaldo were?
Not knowing the site and who the typical viewer is, I guess Axl Rose and Tom Brokaw.

@Dagney I voted for Truffaut because of Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

Reagan collapsed the Iron Curtain of communism thus the Left will never forgive him. Today is National Leftist Teeth Gnashing Day.

Not on the list, but, my dad, even though he didn’t like Reagan (he didn’t like most people in general).

No doubt how the iOTW crew would vote, so I guess we’re picking from the other nine. I don’t know who the frog is, and majority of the others are blatant assclowns. Brokaw sucks, but I miss Baba Wawa Elmer Fuddin’ his name. Farrell was at most a relief from the insufferable Alan Alda. The Babe was before my time, so I’ll have to go with Rip Torn, only because I liked him in MIB.

I have to go with my fellow Texan, Rip Torn. Too bad he turned out to be such a lush, since he’s a great actor.

You guys forgot the “none of the above button”.
I was working in the computer industry when reagan pushed through his “pacific rim plans” and GAVE AWAY all computer industry jobs & technology to japan FOR NOTHING putting millions of skilled americans out of work.
He also is the father of “NAFTA” and made up the gubbermint programs that PAID factory owners to move their entire operation overseas including the factory itself and everything in it (except the workers of coarse) then allow those same people to bring the same product (that used to made here) back into the country at slave-wage prices, duty & tariff free so as to kill off the rest of that industry that refused to move.
He was also key in starting up the fake war on drugs which has put more innocent americans in prison and ruining the rest of their lives for doing nothing more than smoking a joint.
Reagan was an asshole who earned his dementia-ridden death and I hope he is burning in hell with his pal satan.
