Interesting…but then I enjoyed Psychology in college.
Peer pressure is a hell of a thing. And with so many kids being raised without any principles or even a spine, it’s not hard to see why we are in such a mess.
Obamabot syndrome explained.

So, this explains the GOP’s conformity to the wishes of the ‘one’, right?
This mindset is not new, hell, we saw this played out even in Jesus’ time. Jesus entered Jerusalem victoriously, only to have the crowds shout for his crucifixion a couple of days later at the beset of those in the crowd that were yelling for his death. Even Pilate conformed to the crowd’s mentality.

I see this all the time. I have teacher friends and also work in academia. It surprises me how the liberals feel totally free to express their talking points, but if I counter their group-speak they are shocked. During work, while at lunch, I like to challenge their talking points. But I do it judicially – nothing belligerent, just what if…
Don’t know if I’ll ever change minds, but I will keep trying.

I know the cheap plastic chair he grabbed at 3:20 is worth about $100 to $150 in today’s market.

Or rather fiberglass chair. But you won’t know which is right without a group.

GREAT find.
Norman’s right… “peer pressure is a hell of thing.”
Fear of being ostracized from friends, teachers or work colleagues is pretty powerful. Maybe as society becomes more of a virtual business society, people can break through that bullshit and start to acquire critical thinking skills. I’m hopeful.

this is horrible.
(had to say that so i wouldn’t conform)

So when the participant ‘wrote’ his answer, then group conformity declined. This is what happens in the voting booth (a secret ballot).
As for peer pressure — just keep your mouth shut on who you voted for.
Why Zero won — he cheated & everybody knows it!

cAss Sunstein wrote about this principle and advocates h use of “choice architects” to “nudge” people into the desired decision. Given his documented desire to control the proles, he’s probably already using this idea in social settings and on the Internet.
The Rand corp also wrote about this under the topic of “reverse Delphi technique” which has been used by Agenda 21 folks in meetings where they put many plants in the audience in order to push people into making desired decisions.
I agree with Loretta, voting booths are private and there was quite a bit of brazen fraud in the last election.

IMO, This is why it’s important to teach them to stand up for what they know is right.
Your voice may give inspiration and confidence where there was none before.
Be a leader but be ready to defend your stance honestly. Let the chips fall where they may.
Like my very boring but memorable Algebra II teacher said: “Math problems are not up to a vote. Sometimes you may be the only person in the room with the right answer.”

Yes @Loretta, it is true that 0bama and the democrats cheated. But since that is not the accepted position of the majority of the press, you can’t say it in public without fear of ostracization.
As for the “secret ballot” test dropping the group conformity by two-thirds, why do you think the liberals want union voting to do away with secret ballots? Not peer pressure but FEAR pressure. To keep the union from falling apart.

Didn’t see the video but because I am 429 years old, I do know that the most basic of human needs is inclusion.
Remember the black minister who said he would have to reevaluate his traditional stance on homosexuality because Obama said its OK?
It will take the AntiChrist about oh say .5 gigasecond to line up 98% of the world’s population in alphabetical order.

I hardly need to waste 4 minutes watching some libtard university experiment from the 1970′s to know THAT…

I’ve said it before and I’ll probably say it again.
“WHAT IF” we began to use the left’s tactics against them?
I’m talking about the mind games, the blackmail, the intimidation, the NLP speeches, the cheating, the threats, the corruption, the bribes, the fraud, all of it. Even the “accidents” that aren’t really accidents.
What if the Right fought dirty?
How often do people win a rigged fight in the REAL world?
If we believe that the fight is rigged, that obama did all of the above to win 2012, what are we going to do about it in 2014 and 2016? Roll over for Biff like Marty McFly’s dad in the first part of Back To the Future I?
Because that’s what we looked like last fall.
Either use the same weapons or change the rules altogether.
