But the federal program which provides subsidized school breakfasts to the children of migrant workers is doing just fine.

I know a little bit about this. You can thank the D.L.A. They are responsible for getting supplies to our troops when they need them. Just another bunch of losers in the bureaucracy. Funny how it’s always the vendors fault. Thank gawd for groups like this. Defense Logistics Agency should be run by a commercial org.

In Karshi-Khanabad in ’04 the BX tent seldom had stuff we needed but had sail boats & underwater cameras (in the desert?), children’s clothng (on a Combat base?).
Instead the church tent had donated packages from Americans on tables with those oh so welcome woolen socks, baby wipes, special candy (wanna see a Gunny go goofy?), dental floss, sweat shirts etc etc…but the BX? nothing
Thank God for these guys

I “adopted” fifty soldiers over Christmas and practically went broke (but got some help from a couple of friends, thank goodness!) buying fleece and flannel to make blankets and pillowcases for them. They had NO blankets or sheets! In winter. In the mountains of Afghanistan. Unbelievable. This “administration” is treating them like rubbish and it makes my blood boil.

Listened to an interview with someone from Troops Direct yesterday afternoon on Hannity’s radio show. Peter Johnson Jr was hosting the show.
I had never heard of TD. Their efficiency is amazing. The deficiencies of the military supply chain was disturbing.
And TD operate with only a 13% overhead. Outstanding.

As long as our beloved little 0 has what he needs, he doesn’t give a damn about our military.

Apparently, they are doing without breakfast now.
