How Can We Survive?

Home - by - February 1, 2013 - 18:15 America/New_York - 20 Comments

Syria is now threatening to strike back at Israel for an attack on Wednesday that hit a convoy in Syria carrying weapons to Hezbollah. “Hezbollah condemned the attack as “barbaric aggression” and Syrian ally Russia said it appeared to be an unprovoked attack on a sovereign nation.”

I know the answer to this question but I must ask it before I explode: How do the anti-Semites not see the difference between one small nation trying to protect herself and the rest of the nations surrounding her actively attempting to destroy her because of religious hatred?

The answer is that they do know. They know and yet they still persist in spreading the lies, fabrications and obfuscations to draw others into their web. Some join their hatred because they are also anti-Semites. Others believe the lie because they have given over themselves to a reprobate mind.

Try as we do, we are unable to spread the truth to enough people to change public opinion to affect the current leadership in our country. The Arab nations, and those supporting them, are virtually lost to any attempt to reason; so deep and abiding is their hatred of the truth. The United States has long been a major world deterrent to massive attempts by any nation to obliterate Israel. But due to said current leadership of the United States, deterrence is being lost day by day.

What do we do? How do we live with what is happening to our once great nation and the fall of Israel that seems inevitable? Every day, and seemingly every hour, something new is added to the turmoil of war that the enemies of goodness are waging. How can we sleep at night in order to get up the next day to carry on the activities of living and teaching our children our morals? Even the action of teaching our children our morals is subverted every day they attend school. And it’s not just public schools. Some of our treasured private and religious schools are buckling to the enemies of truth by political correctness.

Again, what do we do? I will share with you the only thing I have been able to do to cope with the world’s slide into the horror of evil (after I swear, scream, rant and cry). I trust God. Faith. I know that God rules this world. He rules the universe. He is in charge.

I know it doesn’t seem like it, but Gods Providence is at work. Do you know what that means? I didn’t fully understand it until I read this terrific article that explains the Providence of God beautifully.

God has a purpose for what is happening. I don’t know what that purpose is and neither does any other person on this earth. I just know that I trust him and that he is what the Bible says he is. Trustworthy, Holy, Powerful, Wise, Just, Truth, and Good. There’s more, but those are just not his character; they are who God is.

What I just stated does not excuse us from trying to fight evil; fight the lies spread by those who would see our world descend into chaos and darkness. It helps us to continue that fight when all seems lost, when we become overwhelmed with the stupidity of people who cannot or will not see the truth.

May God bless our fight and keep us strong.

Amen Claudia. I realize my efforts may not amount to a hill of beans – but I know that God wants me to make them regardless of their effect. I may not see the results I want – but that’s okay – because God will use them to His own purposes.

Good message! I like these! :)

Such is the dilema that has kept me in turmoil perpetually for many many months now. There are those around me whom I know to be of much closer counsel with our Father than I am, for I am so much like one of His Children Israel, a stiff-necked and hard-headed people, whom He happens to Love unfathomably. But those wiser and more obedient of my brothers and sisters all tell me to just trust in Him, that even now He is in control of all things. But I, like Ann can not abide this evil and willingly partake in their blasphemy and their abominations. And what of my children? God has entrusted them to my care in this life. Should I charge the evil head-on and fight til my last breath to banish it from this land, leaving my children fatherless and more vulnerable to the lies of the enemy? Or do I stand with them and hold my ground, shielding them with my life while others fall on the other side of the battlefield? It is overwhelming. I pray that not my will but His be done. But it sure does seem hypocritical to stand here girded and watch people like Ann Barnhardt and Gellerwoman rush headlong into battle. I keep thinking of the German people beside the train tracks singing louder and louder to drown out the screams, as I wait…

What is Gods purpose? I suspect that God is presenting the opportunity for leadars to step up to challange evil, and I must say, at ths point, I am a coward. I am afraid to stand up to the evil that exists right in front of me because I know that the evil is more powerful than I am. Perhaps as things progress, I will get the bravery that Ann B and Pamela G have, but for now I do not.

Yes, I know that makes me sound small, selfish and pathetic, but it is the truth.

    I am a coward.

In 2007 my wife and I were caring 24/7 for our two terminally ill grandchildren at home. Jarren died at the age of 18 months and Jaylynn was buried on her 1st birthday. In the early morning hours while monitoring Jaylynn’s oxygen levels and turning her every hour I did a Bible Study of:

What one can do with FAITH.

    There are no boundaries.

Hebrews 11:1-3 By Faith We Understand
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

    Faith:
    You can stand by it,
(Romans 11:20) Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith.
(1 Corinthians 15:1) [ The Risen Christ, Faith’s Reality ] Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand,
(2 Corinthians 1:24) Not that we have dominion over your faith, but are fellow workers for your joy; for by faith you stand.

    You can walk in it,
(Ezekiel 18:9) If he has walked in My statutes And kept My judgments faithfully— He is just
(2 Corinthians 5:7) For we walk by faith, not by sight.

You can act upon by it,
(2 Chronicles 19:9) “Thus you shall act in the fear of the LORD, faithfully and with a loyal heart:

    You can work in it,
( 2 Chronicles 34:12) And the men did the work faithfully

    You can find it,
(Nehemiah 9:8) You found his heart faithful

    You can receive it,
(Nehemiah 9:33) You have dealt faithfully
(Romans 12:3) [ Serve God with Spiritual Gifts ] For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

You can feed on it and be nourished by it,
(Psalm 37:3) feed on His faithfulness
(1 Timothy 4:6) [ A Good Servant of Jesus Christ ] If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed.

    You can speak it,
(Psalm 89:1) With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations
(Jeremiah 23:28) And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully.
(Romans 10:8) But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
(2 Corinthians 4:13) And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,

    You can establish it,
(Psalm 89:37) It shall be established forever like the moon, Even like the faithful witness in the sky.”

    You can declare it,
(Psalm 92:2) To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness every night

    You can see it,
(Psalm 101:6) My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land

    You can hear it,
(Romans 10:17) So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
(Hebrews 3:7) [ Be Faithful ] Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “ Today, if you will hear His voice,

You can wear it and be protected by it,
(Isaiah 11:5) And faithfulness the belt of His waist.
(1 Thessalonians 5:8) But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.
(2 Thessalonians 3:3) But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

You can be joyful and sing it, (Zephaniah 3:14) [ Joy in God’s Faithfulness ] Sing, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!

You can be healed by it,
(Matthew 9:22) “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.
(Matthew 15:28) Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
(Mark 5:34) And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
(Mark 10:52) Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.”
(Luke 8:48) And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”
(Luke 17:19) And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”
(Luke 18:42) Then Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.”
(Acts 14:9) This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed,

You can move mountains with it,
(Matthew 17:20) So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

You can be saved by it,
(Luke 7:50) Then He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”
(1 Timothy 6:12) Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
(1 Peter 1:9) receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.
(1 John 5:4) For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

You can have authority by it,
(Luke 19:17) And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.’

You can be purified by it,
(Acts 15:9) and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

You can be strengthened by it,
(Acts 16:5) So the churches were strengthened in the faith
(Romans 4:20) He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,
(2 Timothy 4:17) [ The Lord Is Faithful ] But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

You can be encouraged by it,
(Romans 1:12) that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
(2 Timothy 2:11) This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him,We shall also live with Him.

    You can live by it,
(Romans 1:16) [ The Just Live by Faith ] For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
(Romans 1:17)For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
(Galatians 2:20) I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
(Galatians 3:11) But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”

    You are justified by it,
(Romans 3:28) Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.
(Romans 3:30) since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.
(Romans 5:1) [ Faith Triumphs in Trouble ] Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
(Galatians 2:16) knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.
(Galatians 3:24) Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

You can be tested by it,
(2 Corinthians 13:5) Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves.
(James 1:3) knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
(1 Peter 1:7) that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

You can receive the promise of the spirit,
(Galatians 3:14) that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
(Galatians 3:22) But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

    You can be an heir,
(Galatians 3:26) [ Sons and Heirs ] For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

You can have the hope of righteousness,
(Galatians 5:5) For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
    (Philippians 3:9) and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

You can receive grace by it,
(Ephesians 2:1) [ By Grace Through Faith ] And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,
(Ephesians 2:8) For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

You can be protected by it,
(Ephesians 6:16) above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
(Revelation 2:10) Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

You can be comforted by it,
(1 Thessalonians 3:7) therefore, brethren, in all our affliction and distress we were comforted concerning you by your faith.
(2 Timothy 2:13) If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.
(Revelation 17:14) These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”

    You can grow in it,
(2 Thessalonians 1:3) [ God’s Final Judgment and Glory ] We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other,

    __________________________________________________
You can ask for more faith, as the disciples did, and He will give you more.
Your confidence in Him will grow as your faith in Him grows. Your faith moves
Him, so don’t be afraid to ask Him for more faith. He delights to answer your
request, for He loves to see His children trusting Him and leaning on Him. He is
the Faithful One. Ask Him for more faith.

Believe in God with all your heart and soul. Completely surrender your will to Him. Be fully conscious of your failings and weaknesses before God. Being it all forth. Then pray with all your might for God to fill you with strength, courage and fortitude. You will become a renewed spirit of light and love. And yes, you will also become a fearless warrior for God. His will be done with you, and you won’t mind.

Be good, be brave, be honorable in the name of Christ and understand that our bodies are only perishable vessels. Any physical sufferings we might endure fighting against evil will only be temporary. Do not fear so much for your body. Fear for the sake of your eternal soul.

Fight, fight, fight against evil with all your might. It is only satan that is filling hearts with fears and doubts. Tell him to get thee behind you in the name of Jesus Christ. Pray for angels to stand all around you and guard you from evil. The angels will be glad to do this. That is their job.

I love you all. Keep praying. With God’s help we can do this. We can do this.

If you believe in Bible prophecy, then you would easily understand that what is happening right now fits exactly in the larger of the Divine Plan: the Will of God for the Last Days:

“And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts [of armour, even] a great company [with] bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: [and] many people with thee…

…And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, [that] my fury shall come up in my face.” Ezekiel 38

But this is not quite the end; there will be a final conflict involving Israel with the WHOLE world coming against her later on. And that also will be one big failure executed by the advent of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ–how the nations of the earth shall weep then, and how Judgement Day will have arrived for those who deny the Son of Man.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
    John 16:33

“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
    Luke 21:28

    Thank You

    How Can We Survive?

Thou art Peter [Cephah] and upon this rock [cephah] I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

The gates of hell will not prevail against the Church, and Peter is the Rock upon which Christ built, and builds, His Church.

Don’t leave the Barque of Peter. Be within the Church; and the gates of hell WILL NOT PREVAIL.

Cling to the Bride of Christ.

There is going to be a miraculous cure, and the Church — the very Bride of Christ — wants us there to share in the joy of the healing, — the healing which is explicitly guaranteed by Our Lord Himself.

    How Can We Survive?

Don’t wait for Christ to come along and save us.

Christ walked out to meet the guards who came to arrest Him in the Garden of Gethsemane. He walked out of the Garden in perfect Faith even knowing that He was going to His death, but trusting in God the Father and The Resurrection.

    How Can We Survive?

We too must go throught the Cross. There’s no evasion. We can’t argue with socialism nor islam. There is no arguing decency and generosity with the imams and the armies of allah. All we can do is walk out and meet them.

Whether our survival and salvation is made manifest in this life, or only in the next, is of trifling importance.

What matters is to cling to God, and to act so that our actions bring us closer to Him.
