First there was the revelation that an armed guard was responsible for stopping the Atlanta shooter,
now Newtown is asking that all the schools in their area be furnished with armed guards.

Well, maybe, just maybe, 20 kids wouldn’t be dead if you didn’t follow the asinine advice of the likes of Morgan Pierschild in the first place.

Don’t I recall in the dust bin of history, thousands of years ago, where the NRA proposal was met with disdain and derision?

Down here the Palm Beach School District has its own police force, full-time certified police officers, armamentarium, cars, Mars lights, the whole nine yards. It was started to protect students from each other and teachers from students and J.D.’s.

This may be a blue county but they don’t live in a fantasy world like the people of Connecticut apparently do, judging by the outcome of recent elections as well as this video clip.

Just think how things would be different if the bus driver here in Alabama had had a gun? He would be alive and that precious little 5 y.o. boy would be with his family and not in a bomb shelter.

So I guess we have found the limits of liberal hypocrisy – when it could mean their own lives or those they love, then and only then will they consider the approach that goes against their knee jerk reaction.

This is a father of a student who was at Sandyhook and survived. He really lets the legislators have it.

While I don’t want to argue that guns are terrible tools that do nothing but kill innocent babies, I think a few of you gun rights advocates should check some of the fantasy at the door.

I don’t know what the answer is, but arming every citizen and hoping for the best isn’t it.

Disarming the law-abiding while the criminals remain armed sure as hell ain’t the answer.

Well Opinion, I do know that the answer is NOT taking away my RIGHT to defend my family and my self.
If you do not wish to own a firearm, it is your right to choose not to.
