FACT SHEET FOR LIBERAL IGNORAMUSES. We’ll speak slowly and avoid big words, I promise.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation offers the following excellent list of Modern Sporting Rifle Facts. No, they’re not “assault rifles”. They’re Modern Sporting Rifles.

The modern sporting rifle, based on the AR-15 platform, is widely misunderstood. Why? Confusion exists because while these rifles may cosmetically look like military rifles, they do not function the same way. Also, groups wanting to ban these rifles have for years purposely or through ignorance spread misinformation about them to aid their cause.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation asks you to be an informed gun owner and to use the following facts to correct misconceptions about these rifles. Remember, that if AR-15-style modern sporting rifles are banned, your favorite traditional-looking hunting or target shooting semi-automatic firearm could be banned, too.

• AR-15-platform rifles are among the most popular firearms being sold. They are today’s modern sporting rifle.

• The AR in “AR-15″ rifle stands for ArmaLite rifle, after the company that developed it in the 1950s. “AR” does NOT stand for “assault rifle” or “automatic rifle.”

• AR-15-style rifles are NOT “assault weapons” or “assault rifles.” An assault rifle is fully automatic — a machine gun. Automatic firearms have been severely restricted from civilian ownership since 1934.

• If someone calls an AR-15-style rifle an “assault weapon,” he or she either supports banning these firearms or does not understand their function and sporting use, or both. Please correct them. “Assault weapon” is a political term created by California anti-gun legislators to ban some semi-automatic rifles there in the 1980s.

• AR-15-style rifles look like military rifles, such as the M-16, but function like other semi-automatic civilian sporting firearms, firing only one round with each pull of the trigger.

I’ve said it before, but it cannot be said enough. Conservatives and other gun owners MUST take back the narrative from the LSM, statist politicians and the generally ignorant and uninformed.

Any and every time you hear some one use the term assault rifle, immediately correct and inform them that there is NO such thing as an assault rifle. It’s a fictitious term used to describe a scary looking firearm. The capabilities of the weapon in question are nearly the same as a six shot revolver.

And as far as limiting the capacity of magazines, remind them that criminals and the mentally unstable will merely carry more magazines to carry out their task. Whereas the law abiding citizen will be left more vulnerable with fewer rounds to defend himself.

Ahh I should have known. Californian. Something should be done about that state. They just spread their misery to the west.

I know they’re mockingly referred to as “low information voters, old enough to vote but still living in mommy’s basement.

Many are the product of “one night stands” us liberals are now famous for.

And yes, they know more about “DWTS” and “The Voice” than they do about the state of soon to be 3rd world banana republic, which is according to the grand plan.

I despise the term low information voters because it does not do justice to the lowlifes, I mean my “special constituents” that shocked Limbaugh this past election.

In full recognition of their demographic, I hereby declare they shall be know as:

I went for a walk this morning and ran into a group of six neighborhood residents who were deep in discussion, apparently about “gun control”. As I walked past, one guy (who actually is a pretty nice guy with a sense of humor), called out to me, “Hey, here’s someone who knows about gun control!”. I answered, “Yes, it means I can shoot my intended target. Incidentally, I’m waiting for my new NRA sticker to to arrive.” He responded by asking if Wayne LaPierre was going to hand deliver it and I told him I would be honored. What happened next was interesting. The six people split into two. Two of them started walking with me (including the the guy who spoke to me)and the other four looked daggers at me, turned and stormed off. One of the people who began walking with me then admitted she owns a handgun for protection and wants to practice to become more proficient with it. She is a widow and lives alone. The guy who spoke to me wanted to know all about trap and skeet shooting and admitted it sounded interesting. All in all, it was a satisfying exchange. I talked to a couple of people who would actually listen and offended the severely libtarded! :)

I live in a state where the AR style rifle is very popular among hunters and target shooters. It is also a favorite for home defense. And to show our appreciation for this very fine rifle, the AR abbreviation is used on all outgoing and incoming mail in the state of AR.
This could be why “Skeets” 0bama never visits the state.

    Y’know what? I don’t really give a shit.

The 2nd was added to allow us to protect ourselves against tyranny. We are sovereign, not the maggots in DC. As far as I am concerned, every American who wants a fully armed Abrams, should get one before the frackin ragheads get any. Every American who wants to own a 20mm cannon and can afford the ammo should have one. If my neighbor set up a 50 cal. Browning machine gun on his porch – I wouldn’t give a shit! I told him that if he ever saw someone sneaking around his property and thought it was me – open fire!

Cause it ain’t gonna be me.

Did everyone hear about the scantly reported news event that took place in Rochester, NY last week? A couple of students (room mates) at the University of Rochester were set upon by a pair of armed home invaders. Only, when the bad guys forced their way into the house one resident was upstairs and heard the commotion downstairs. Well, he happens to be a shooting sports competitor. He picked up his AR and hurried downstairs. When he hit the bottom of the stairs he saw two very tall intruders, one holding a semi-auto pistol, and he yelled at them to stop.

They got one look at the AR and turned tail and ran for their lives. Good ending right? It gets better.

    The rifle wasn’t loaded.

    Peace through superior firepower!
