ICE Agents Union: AFL-CIO’s Trumka Doesn’t Speak For Us On Immigration

Not everyone agrees with Richard Trumpka’s progressive take on immigration. The Union bully/AFL-CIO President reacted to Obama’s immigration speech yesterday by stating
“Unions did have at one point some differences on the issue, but the entire labor movement is entirely behind this now. We’ll be at the table the whole time this thing is being developed to make sure it meets the needs of workers.”
The ICE Agent’s Union issued a press release today to remind their leader:
”No President Trumka, there are still differences within the AFL-CIO, and you don’t speak for us.”

When they fired up this immigration scheme this week, starting with Chucky Spewmore, I had the TV on in the background. Something that struck me was a comment by Trumka to the effect he’s pleased to be able to potentially exploit 11 million illegals getting them into the AFL-CIO. Thereby off setting the steady decline in union membership.
I have a few friends who are in union trades. I don’t live their life and I can only speak regarding my observation of them and countless other union folks I’ve run into over the years.
THEY HATE MEXICANS!
If you’ve ever heard them going off about shitty work or stuff done completely wrong, Mexicans and Polacks did the work.

Rush was talking about this the other day. Said unions don’t like illegals competing with union workers.
The only way Trumpka can back this is the push to increase the minimum wage. When minimum wage goes up and illegals wages get closer to skilled union workers wages, Trumpka will now be able to whine that it’s not faaaaaaiiirrrr that skilled union labor doesn’t get raises.

The purpose of unions has ALWAYS been to exploit the workers.
That being said, the Insulator’s Union in MD established an “A” union for Americans and a “B” union for Mexicans. The Mexicans basically got to work and pay dues and the union could control the number of Mexicans hired. The Mexicans also got the hurry-up shit jobs – like removing asbestos without the safeguards the “A” union insisted on.
I understand the Plumber’s Union did something similar – taking on Sprinkler Fitters, and the like, who weren’t trained by the union but could pay dues.
Both had corrupt leadership.
