Norway Data Shows Earth’s Global Warming Less Severe Than Feared

See that headline from Bloombag Magazine?

The commenters are taking this article to mean that the scientists were wrong and global warming is overblown.

That’s what the noob thinks. Nope. The motive behind this crapola is that the window has closed on the shrieking from a decade ago that we only had a decade to go to stop the world from cataclysmic disaster. Since no one bit on that horseshit and nothing happened, the leftists need to keep “the window” open.

It’s like the old joke, my doctor told me I only had six months to live. I told him I couldn’t pay him, so he gave me another six months.

New estimates from a Norwegian research project show meeting targets for minimizing global warming may be more achievable than previously thought.

After the planet’s average surface temperature rose through the 1990s, the increase has almost leveled off at the level of 2000, while ocean water temperature has also stabilized, the Research Council of Norway said in a statement on its website. After applying data from the past decade, the results showed temperatures may rise 1.9 degrees Celsius if Co2 levels double by 2050, below the 3 degrees predicted by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

“The Earth’s mean temperature rose sharply during the 1990s,” said Terje Berntsen, a professor at the University of Oslo who worked on the study. “This may have caused us to overestimate climate sensitivity.”

and now that we have a decade or two of breathing room on the planet melting, can we get the progs to look at the data on spending? They are the party that says the are good at math when it comes to the planets temp, so they are sure to understand the math of being broke, no?

NASA said, “In 2012, Mother Earth coughed” and broke their rectal thermometer. How could they establish any kind of reliable data?

Dan Ryan Galt, I live 300 feet from the water at 9 feet of elevation on an island, and according to the UN group, it will be at leat 600 years before I am waterfront at their high end current sea level rise observatons. Now, if their 8 or 30 or so ifs come together at the same time, my not yet born grandkid might be alive to tie a boat up to the house.

I have lived on this street for 20 years, and hangin out here for over 30 years, and the tide is the same today as it was 20 years ago…the same trees are at the waters edge, the boat ramps are still stained at the same high tide mark, etc…
