Holocaust victims remembered at Auschwitz, in Warsaw and beyond
FOX
WARSAW, Poland – Holocaust survivors, politicians, religious leaders and others are marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day with solemn prayers and the now oft-repeated warnings to never let such horrors happen again.
Events Sunday took place at sites including Auschwitz-Birkenau, the former death camp where Hitler’s Germany killed at least 1.1 million people, mostly Jews, in southern Poland. Sunday is the 68th anniversary of the liberation of the camp by Soviet troops in 1945.
In Warsaw, prayers were also held at a monument to the fighters of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of 1943.
And in Rome, Pope Benedict XVI warned that “the memory of this immense tragedy, which above all struck so harshly the Jewish people, must represent for everyone a constant warning so that the horrors of the past are not repeated.”

The Holocaust is THE reason I own many (private sale) firearms.

And yet the ideology that birthed the holocaust is firmly entrenched in the White House….like a deer tick sucking the life out of a once great nation.

Agreed with Parnell.
I learned this lesson at the knee of my Mom who was there in Berlin.
About 40% of my customers are Jewish and I am appalled at how many are far left and wouldn’t pick up a gun to save their own life.
For me? Never Again means something.
And yes, Grayscape. What was going on back then is repeating itself. It’s scary how many parts of what is going on are EXACTLY the same as then.
Hate the rich! That would be the Jews for owning businesses, minding them and doing well for themselves.
That’s only one but if you look down the list of what Hitler imposed in the schools and everywhere else – like gun contol – you’d come to the conclusion they are using the Nazi handbook.
Every child belonged to the state and parents had no sayso over it’s education/indoctrination.
Germany had to release my sister through adoption to my Dad because the state OWNED every child.
Keeps your guns. No matter what.
Never Again!

I don’t understand why I wasn’t the center of the show … after all, it was MY uncle who liberated Auschwitz …

Here’s the problem. I wrote about this today (http://goo.gl/IHzNa) and can’t tell you how many people responded by email that they were not aware that this Day even existed.
How can the phrase Never Again hold any value when even the Jews are not paying attention?

Never again, please, God! What a stain on humanity that the Holocaust happened. Remember, one little man with a huge ego plunged the world into such a horror. Yes, we must remember!
