illustr8r sent this over and I had a similar reaction to hers.
What is it about any “message video” that immediately makes us feel like it is somehow progressive indoctrination. We’re not even saying that there is anything particularly political in the clip, it just has the overall tone of some sort of “I know better than you and once you watch my one minute video it’s going to profoundly alter your life. It’s what I do. You’re welcome.” video. And we hate them, and find them insufferably libtarded.
Are we alone? Or are we irreparably cynical?

Having made a career in video production, I can tell that the lines are being fed to him by some fuckwit art school chick video producer, just by the way they cover them with choppy editing and crappy B-Roll. This isn’t funny, inspiring or entertaining, the only thing this video does is make me want to slap the living shit out of who ever put this turd together for wasting my time viewing it.

I agree, I get that reaction too. And I think started back in the 70s with Sesame Street and the PSAs – school house rock. Or whatever it was called.
BTW – bratty kids that think they know it all rarely seem to age out of it.

I could barely understand the little snowflake. When I did concentrate on what he was saying I grew angery that he still didn’t make any sense, conterdicted himself and just generally spewed chiches and pop references for no particular reason. I made it 1/2 through a stopped when I felt the blood vessels in my scalp begin to pulsate.
I think this would work well down in Guantanamo though.
