I’m Seizing Capitol Hill Because There Is Criminal Activity Going On There

Triumph for property owner’s rights!

Boston Herald -

A Tewksbury motel owner who just beat back U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz’s three-year bid to seize his business has become the latest critic to accuse the Hub’s top fed of prosecutorial bullying.

“I don’t think she should have the power she has to pull this stuff on people,” Russ Caswell, owner of the Motel Caswell, told the Herald last night after a judge’s ruling in his favor.

The feds first tried to grab Caswell’s property in 2009 under drug seizure laws, citing numerous drug busts at the motel. Caswell’s defense team argued that he was not responsible for what guests did. And his lawyers found there was actually more drug activity at nearby businesses, and theorized the government was going after Caswell, who has no criminal record, because his mortgage-free property is worth more than $1 million.

“It’s bullying by the government. And it’s a huge waste of taxpayer money,” said Caswell, whose father built the motel in 1955. “This has been a huge financial and physical toll. It’s thrown our whole family into turmoil. You work for all your life to pay for something and these people come along and think it’s theirs. It’s just wrong. The average person can’t afford to fight this.”

His motel is in a drug and crime infested part of the city.

Mr. Caswell’s business was encroaching on someone else’s “territory” and with da help of Chicago tactics of the goverment thugs, they tried to run him outta town.

I would call the justice department to look into who the “friend” of the prosecuting attorney was helping….oh wait.

There’ll be another government position awaiting her removal as US Attorney, probably in ATF or EPA. Can’t let a rabid little nazi go to waste.

Yep, seize Capitol Hill and foreclose, because the squatters there are deep in debt, and have no hope of making a single mortgage payment. Send the Marshall when they are out of town.

Yes, Big Fur. How about ten million tea partiers making a few citizen’s arrests?

The pull quote from the story:

“the government was going after Caswell, who has no criminal record, because his mortgage-free property is worth more than $1 million.”

Never forget the Gibson Guitar armed take-down by the Feds. Gibson didn’t do anything wrong, but they paid a $1,000,000.00 extortion fee to get .gov off their back so Gibson could return to making guitars.

That is NOT a happy ending, because the next time you buy a Gibson guitar, you just contributed to the extortion fund that Gibson was forced to pay. Dot gov is rewarded and enabled to hit another business and start another extortion.

Gibson is a disappointment for folding. Sadly, businesses are becoming nothing more than conduits for money to channel to dot gov. The problem will never go away, will only get worse, until business leaders and customers band together and stop playing along.

At the start of the Gibson fiasco I decided to buy a new Gibson to show support. Before I made a purchase, Gibson folded and paid the extortion. Now I won’t be playing a Gibson.
