Evil Corning’s Vision of the Future
Ever notice that all of the major advances in technology and progress comes from the government, particularly socialist governments?
Ya, me neither.

So, Big Brother’s going to be able to watch me in the bathroom as well in the future?

The future of our culture is in the people who choose to bypass all this technobabble. Thanks to the iPhone, we can be in a room full of people and not make eye or verbal contact with a single one of them. It’s bad enough for such a socially-crippling device to be in your hand all day long; what’s going to happen when they are embedded in your walls and furniture?
The happy family in this video will willingly reduce itself to a pair of roommates who are perfectly content to never see, hear, or speak to each other, as long as they each help with the house payment.
No, this is the future of our culture: it’s the death of it.

Final line correction:
“No, this in NOT the future of our culture: it’s the death of it.”

So the whole world will be one giant iPad? Cool but a bit scary at the same time.
BTW…what’s with the 2 girls wearing what looks like Catholic school uniforms? Obviously NOT approved by Obama!

How wonderful to be sharing what everyone does with their fingers before touching everything we touch! Not to mention all the finger smudges constantly needing to be removed.
Plus, with all of the Obamabots out there dismantling our power source, be it coal, oil, nuclear, or hydro-electric, how are we going to power all of this electronic wizardry?

Obama will call it Assault Glass and ban it.

If this is technology is embraced or implemented no one will have another private moment or thought again, no thanks.

Now let’s see how the rest of us live.
Part two with the CT scanner looked like the episode of Firefly, Ariel.

Corningware is evil in itself.
Didja ever accidently drop one of them plates on the kitchen floor?
Those things don’t break…they EXPLODE !!!
Tiny shards of glass shrapnel flying everywhere!!!
Dogs howling, cats running, babies crying, people everywhere in the house covering their vital organs!!!!
Our last house was condemned and razed because of them there things.
Shame really.

It bothers me that every thing is always “ON”.
There are things in your home right now – Because they link to the internet- where even if they’re OFF, they’re still ON. If you understand what I’m saying.
And I wonder how much it costs to replace and clean that stuff?
I’m still going to want curtains. lol

Continuus Control.

“It bothers me that every thing is always “ON”.”
Yes, exactly.
Before, once out of the factory, the worker had a break from the work’s discipline.
Once out of the school, the kids had a break from the discipline.
Once out of prison, the felon had a break from the discipline.
Now not so. Control is becoming permanent, ubiquitous. We will never be done with anything. Work at home, school at home, hospital at home, prison at home; and conversely, work as home, school as home, hospital as home, prison as home.
Control bears on our movement.

This can’t be true. It shows adults wearing wedding rings, a family with two parents not of the same sex, with jobs, who know how to read and no one has piercings.
Pure fiction.

Hah! Look at all the STONES aimed at the GLASS HOUSE! Several good points made in thecomments, but I don’t think that was intended to be an actual living space. Most of us still would prefer either a log cabin in the woods, an insular apartment with opaque walls in a city or a River City, Iowa-like small town.
The post title implies that there is some kind of leftist campaign against Corning. Isn’t that company located in leftist New York? Aren’t its workers unionized? Doesn’t it pay exhorbitant NY taxes? How much of the technology we saw is made in and imported from China?

I’m just the messenger, people!
Beck showed a video similar to this recently and it had an ultra-futuristic look to it. He said it was made in 2004! Like it or not, this is what’s coming. I daresay we would’ve said the iPhone was bunk 10 years ago, but everyone has one nowadays!

@ Dan Ryan Galt
Yes, it’s fiction, but there’s also truth in it. It’s publicity, hence full of lies, but the overt aspect of CONTINUUS CONTROL bearing on our movement is real.

I think it’s pretty cool, and I get your point BFH.
I don’t think people will allow themselves to be held hostage to new technology any more than they do now. I was easily capable of ignoring a hard wired ringing phone when I had one. It drove other people nuts. So the trick is to use it only for what you want.
