BigFurHat’s 99 Second Radio Show – with Guest: Victoria Jackson

Home - by - January 25, 2013 - 02:10 America/New_York - 21 Comments

Victoria and I discuss Facebook censorship, food shopping, her book, and driving while talking on phones.

Victoria’s  book, Is My Bow Too Big?, can be found HERE.

You know it’s a great book when there are only two types of rating – 5 stars and 1 star. This reviewer said it best -

The book is an honest assessment from Victoria, and obviously struck a nerve because she is under constant attack from the extreme vitriol of the left. Good Job Victoria, you know your doing it right when the hate machine targets you.

[And no, the bow is not too big. :D]

Always loved her poem/songs on the ukelele. I also loved that for all the years she was on SNL I had no idea what her politics were even though she was as passionate as the next person. But the left changed all of that. Now you’re almost forced to speak up, but if you’re on the right you do it at your own peril.
Can we assume that the people who stay quiet, particularly on SNL, are conservatives?
    That’s a good bet.

Ah, the greatest SNL era… Victoria Jackson, Dennis Miller, Phil Hartman, Jon Lovitz, Dana Carvey. That’s when SNL was laugh out loud funny.

One of my favorite bits of all time was the night Victoria took off the wig and told the audience she couldn’t do the phony voice anymore!

Ok Fur, I peed my pants! That ending is priceless. I thought it would be to buy her book, but the tee-shirt is precisely ‘you’!

    Great interview.

Now you are going to have to purchase proper equipment for your show. You can’t go super star with rinky dink audio!

NOOOOO. Low tech is the way to go. We always hear these people in “good” quality.
Having them on the rinky dink is the entire point!

Oh, and ya. I was torn between putting an ad for her book or the t-shirt at the end.
I flipped a two-headed coin and called heads.

I’ve always loved Victoria Jackson. I never liked SNL after the original cast UNTIL Victoria Jackson and Dennis Miller. Haven’t liked it at all since.

And kudos to her for getting a gun to protect her child!

    A true American!!!

And in the words of George of the Jungle, “Watch out for that tree!”.

Good Job Victoria, you know your doing it right when the hate machine targets you.

As my father used to say, “You know you’re over the target when you start getting flak.”

I hope she reads this. Victoria, you are a beautiful woman, inside and out. This is an overdue thank-you for warning me off the horrid flick “Year One.”

She was part of the Tea Party Express Tour in 2010 that came here to Syracuse. What a hoot to hear her sing “There’s A Communist in the White House.” Thanks for interviewing her, Fur.

So VJ and Dennis Miller were SNL players? When was this? I quit SNL when Eddie Murphy did and never went back.

Damn! Now I want to see those bits.

Well their was several hints about her so called demise. GAH!!! But driving, eating and talking on the cell at the same time!!?? Big no no. Well I guess I can’t stay mad at her. And I thought I lived on the edge. You got me good. So now I’m gonna count how many more gray hairs I have.
