This guy is great. I wish all gun owners were like him. If I were on the council I would say we thank you for your service and respect your second amendment rights. No one will ever deny your ability to own a gun and protect yourself. That said, the second amendment is not absolute, just like the first amendment is not absolute. So, as a responsible gun owner, what do you think are reasonable regulations we can implement to help prevent gun violence or tragic accidents? (E.g. universal background checks)

The CC owner added his comments to the YT posting, saying that the video had been edited to show that a number of people left the meeting after the cowardly councilman left. The truth was that bit of video was way into the meeting and not a response to the Mayor’s invitation that anyone else who was uncomfortable could leave.
It occurred to me that the Mayor may have known very well what the law says about this matter, but he wanted it read into the record along with his own remarks. Fabulous. I imagine he’s got the progtards of Oak Harbor breathing down his neck at each election and this will make great campaigning material.
