Balanced Budget Amendment introduced in Senate – Let the Ignoring Begin

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) is aiming to force lawmakers to spend within the means of the tax-paying public by introducing a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution that puts strict limits on the ability of Congress to run deficits and increase the national debt.
Introduction of Lee’s bill comes on the heels of House action on Wednesday to suspend the $16.4 trillion debt ceiling until May 19 rather than increasing the level, and in turn requires Congress to pass a budget by April 15 – a task that has not been accomplished in several years.

I want you to look at what Mike Lee is holding. It is the US Constitution. Notice, it is thin, can be held with two fingers, and yet it is the foundation of our Republic.
Now, think of the Obamacare Law or the Dodd/Frank Financial Reform Law. Both require hand trucks to move from place to place. They are thousands upon thousands of pages. And they are the foundation of the destruction of our Republic.

Maybe someone should create a petition to the White House for a balanced budget amendment. You know how effect those petitions are – or may it doesn’t make any difference at this time.

Dems will always be as liberal with our money as they are with their morals.
Without a true conservative majority in both houses this will not pass.

We are under no moral obligation to pay for anything not specifically allowed by the Constitution.
The socialists are ignoring the Constitution now, so what’s the point?
It makes sense as propaganda, but not in reality.

Speaking of Mike Lee, was there any reason he didn’t take a whack at Hitlery yesterday? I was saddened to see one of our “up-and-comers” so MIA.
