This clown lost his marbles waaay before the Nov. 2008 election. All over TV, as I live a mere 50 miles from ground Murtha (Somerset, PA), were his on-the-record comments about western Pennsylvanians being racist rednecks, hating blacks, etc., etc.
And yet the idiot still won. Against a competent, decorated veteran no less. I know people from Somerset, PA. I asked them, why does Somerset keep voting this A-hole in?
Unfortunately, his district is as crazy as he was. They say Murtha collaborated in the killing of coal—yet they still voted for the !@$!#$. It just boggles the mind. They say he got them all this “free money” and he is keeping the town afloat building hospitals, schools and what not. I say it’s a mass hypnotism.

BTW, In NPR’s top of the hour headlines today, they mentioned Murtha condemning the Marines of Haditha for murder but did not mention the Marines were found innocent!
I’ll never have any respect for Murtha. He could have apologized for being wrong I know they won’t do it, being military folk, but I wish the honor guard would lower their weapons when the time for the 21 gun salute occurs.

Interesting link. The aortic valve could not possibly have been cut in such a surgery, but the aorta sure could. And it sure could lead to losing both legs, especially if action was not taken immediately to correct the injury. I hope the USAF does the right thing–if they retire him it should be with full benefits for life for he and his wife.
