You need to move the Amber Heard (don’t know who she is) comment to the bottom half of the article. She mistakenly states there were 30,000 gun deaths in the US last year. That number (2011) is more like 12,000, and really only 8,000 if you subtract justified shootings by police and people protecting themselves.

Somebody posted on Facebook, “Watching MSNBC to learn about politics is like watching ‘Hogan’s Heroes’ to learn about the Holocaust.”

I feel the same way about celebrities.

But, I love that they are opening their big fat, stupid mouths and popping off about Liberalism. It is probably one of the best recruiting tools for conservatism (after Obama) that we have.

Its becoming obviously more apparent which stars have common sense and which don’t.

I hope Obama is as successful at dividing Hollyweird as he is america.

Hollywood idiots whether right or wrong for the moment, always have a way of negating their effort.

For good reason too, they’re freaking actors!

Put these supposedly “pro-gun” actors in rows and add columns for their stance on guns, abortion, gay marriage, climate change, Oblamer, troops, pary affiliation, etc. and I guarantee you, not a single one will emerge as “right.”

The Slater quote is actually a line his character said in “True Romance.”

“If there’s one thing this last week has taught me, it’s better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it.”

But he did get arrested at JFK once for having a handgun in his luggage.

A youngster would do well to view actors as the negative example as a general rule, much like convicts or politicians.

    @Old Oaks,

You are indeed correct, anytime I see one of these guys say something that backs up the right its a ray of hope in this world run by idiots.

If anything it shows what hypocrites they are when you toss in the other beliefs.

    Feh.

It’s pathetic for anyone to think that the entire nation has to bend to the will of one person because they hate or are afraid of something.

It’s no less insane to say I hate/am afraid of guns so they should be banned as to say I hate/am afraid of the color orange so no clothes should be made of that color.

    Fools.

Connery, like most Scots, is a political liberal. Modern day Scots see the Anglish as the conservatives and wish to be the exact opposite. Ditto the Irish.
