“What, are you on drugs?”
“Why yes, yes I am.”
But let’s pass more unconstitutional and unenforceable gun laws.

Most of these medications are contraindicated for children under the age of 18, but they get prescribed anyway.

Nice try, Mr. Hat. But a preezy with an agenda is particularly immune to facts. I think we need some sort of headline and lead-in that talks about cheeldren or summpin’.

Thank you for posting this.
Sure looks like an indictment against the widespread over-prescription of heavy drugs for young people (as @LadyGun12 pointed out).
Our culture is deeply invested in the “drugging down” of its children. There are tragic consequences for insanity like that.

Oh, great. Now anyone that has ever talked to their doctor about being depressed (whether or not they take/took antidepressants) is going to be denied the freedom of buying a gun.
You think there is a stigma now about admitting you have depression, just wait.

and people wonder why most of obamas ‘solutions’ involved doctors and ‘free’ mental health care.
his masters plans are working wonderfully.

Why reach the conclusion that it’s the medications to blame, rather than the mental illnesses? I’m sure it’s probably a combination of the two.

and as I understand it, these drugs are used by 500% more youth today vs the turn of the century…
that explains the OWS drum circles, and more.

I also want to know how this relates to the HUGE increase in Veteran suicides….but, in reality, I already know the answer to that one.

Who made a conclusion?
Maybe this just means pretty darn near everyone is on drugs.

@JannyMae–
To a certain extent you are correct, particularly in reference to antidepressant use by adults. But my husband (who is a clinical psychologist) is more than familiar with the damage that can be caused by facile over-reliance on heavy-duty pharmaceuticals for young children and teenagers.

They’ll never restrict guns because someone’s on drugs. Hell, they haven’t taken the Presiduncy away from that junkie in the WH !
